NEET 2020 Student Reaction and Exam Analysis

The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) was conducted on September 13. The examination was conducted in an offline mode. The National Testing Agency (NTA) claims that nearly 90 per cent of those who had applied for the examination were present at the exam centres on September 13. To get a closer picture of this examination, the correspondents of Shiksha.com visited three different exam centres in different parts of the country.

On speaking to the candidates after the examination, we could understand that the examination was conducted while taking care of the COVID-19 protocols. The students also shared their analysis of the NEET question paper. Read on to know more about NEET 2020 student reaction and exam analysis.

Difficulty level of NEET 2020 question paper

Most of the students have rated NEET 2020 as moderate to difficult. They also expressed that were expecting the examination to be easy, given the current circumstances. However, only a small fraction of students found the examination easy.

Which section was the most difficult?

According to most students, Physics section was the toughest. Chemistry section was moderate and Biology was easy.

Which topic had the most number of questions?

According to the NEET exam analysis by students, the most number of questions in Biology section were from Ecology and Human Physiology. The Physics section was dominated by the questions from Class 12 syllabus. This section also had the most number of numerical questions. Chemistry had a lot of theory-based questions.

Time management during NEET 2020 exam

Most candidates said that they could easily complete the question paper within time. They felt that the time was sufficient. But, they also pointed out that the Physics section was lengthy and consumed most of their time.

COVID-19 arrangements at exam centres

The entire controversy around the NEET exam this year was regarding the precautions that NTA would take on the exam day. After the examination was over, most students agreed that NTA had taken enough precautions inside the test centre. However, they emphasised that social distancing was seldom followed outside the exam centre.

The official NEET answer key will be released by NTA in the third week of September 2020. NEET result is expected to be announced by the last week of September 2020.

No, NEET-UG is not a mandatory entrance exam for Virohan: HRIT University, Ghaziabad BOPTM admissions. Candidate selection during BOPTM course admissions will be based on Class 12 board exam scores at Virohan: HRIT University, Ghaziabad.

No, NEET-UG is not required to qualify for Virohan: HRIT University, Ghaziabad BMRIT admissions. Candidates need to only clear their Class 12 board exams in order to be qualified for Virohan: HRIT University, Ghaziabad BMRIT admissions.

The NTA has not announced the number of registered students for NEET 2026 exam. However, the media reports state around 26 Lacs candidates applied for the NEET UG 2026.

A rank of 75000 could get you admission at DY Patil University, Navi Mumbai, if you belong to the General AI category. For the MBBS course, the last round cutoff rank was 548164 for the aforementioned category.

A good score depends on the course chosen and the category of the candidate. The NEET UG entrance examination cutoff is released in the form of ranks.

To get admission to DY Patil University, Navi Mumbai, based on the NEET results, students need to attain a valid cutoff rank for the MBBS and BDS courses. Both courses have different cutoffs for each All India category. 

For the General AI category, the MBBS cutoff 2025 ranged from 419526 to 548164.

DY Patil University, Navi Mumbai BDS cutoff 2025 was concluded with the release of the final cutoff list. The cutoff was different for various categories under the All India categories.

No, the NEET date 2026 has not been extended. The NTA will conduct the NEET UG exam on May 3, 2026. The dates, if postponed, will be notified by the NTA. Moreover, you can get the dates here - NEET 2026 exam dates.
