NEET 2023 result has been declared on June 13 by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Along with the scorecards, NTA has also released the NEET 2023 statistics and list of toppers who have aced this highly competitive exam. According to NTA, out of the 20.87 lakh applicants, 20.38 lakh candidates had appeared, out of which 11.46 lakh candidates qualified for the exam. NTA has shared the data of the category-wise number of candidates who registered, appeared and qualified for NEET 2023. We have segregated the data into various category types, including gender, category and nationality.

NTA announces the NEET result or scorecard download information on the official exam website. Various media portals and social media platforms also announce the declaration of results. Test takers are advised to keep a check on the official websites as well as opt for notifications or alerts at the news and social media platforms to get instantly notified about the declaration of NEET result. Moreover, they also get the NEET result information from their teachers or peers.

NTA will release the NEET 2026 result in July, 2026 after the NEET re-exam has been conducted. The cutoff will be released for the admission to the UG-level medical courses for MBBS and BDS and other courses.
NEET score card is valid for admission to the current academic session only. NEET 2025 result cannot be carried forward for admission to the 2026-27 academic session. Hence, in case a candidate fails to qualify for NEET 2025 or unable to take admission in that academic year, then they have to appear for NEET next year and seek admission. Beyond a year, the NEET scorecard will just be another document or a record to prove the appearance in NEET.

NEET 2023 exam was conducted twice, on May 7, and on June 6 for Manipur candidates since it was rescheduled in the state due to the law and order situation. NTA released the provisional NEET answer key for May 7 and June 6 on June 4 and June 11 respectively. Candidates could submit challenges by June 6 and June 12 for the first and second-phase students respectively.

Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) is soon expected to release the NEET counselling schedule for admission to 15 per cent All India Quota (AIQ) seats and the State Authorities will conduct the NEET counselling for the 85 per cent State Quota seats. There will be most likely four rounds of counselling and the number may increase or decrease based on the seat vacancy.
NEET 2023 is the gateway to admission to MBBS, BDS, BSc Nursing, BAMS, BUMS, BHMS, BSMS, BVSc & AH and other courses. There are 1,06,333 MBBS, 27,868 BDS, 52,720 AYUSH, and 603 BVSc and AH seats offered through NEET scores.
