The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducted the NEET 2025 exam on May 4, 2025. Candidates who took the exam shared that the overall dififculty level was tough. According to the NEET paper analysis, the Physics section was very tough and challenging for candidates. The NEET Chemistry section was moderate to tough in terms of the level of difficulty. Candidates found the Biology section the easiest of all. Due to the high difficulty level, the NEET 2025 cut off was reduced from the previous year. NEET 2025 Exam Analysis

The NEET question paper analysis stated that the question types were on the expected lines, similar to the previous year but a bit trickier. The surprise element of the NEET question paper was that there were only four sets instead of 24, and the name of the sets or the codes were not alphanumeric (A1, B2, etc.) but only numeric, which were 45, 46, 47 and 48. The NEET question paper was based on the NTA NEET syllabus. Candidates who studied the syllabus well could solve the paper without any hassle. The weightage of Class 11 and 12 NEET syllabus was approximately 45:55.

NEET 2025 Exam Analysis for Physics

The Physics section of NEET 2025 was the most difficult. It comprised 45 questions and was dominated by numerical questions from Optics, Modern Physics, Electrostatics, etc. from Class 12 syllabus, and Gravitation and Mechanics from Class 11. According to the experts, the questions were lengthy and hence time-consuming. The questions were numeric-based and around four to five questions were tricky in nature. The section covered the majority of the topics from the latest NEET Physics syllabus and was NEET NCERT books. Major emphasis was given on Class 11 syllabus. There were no statement-based, assertion-reason, or match-the-column questions were included.

The NEET UG exam carries 720 scores. There are 180 questions compositely from Physics, Chemistry and Biology. The exam has negative marking for wrong answers. One mark is deducted for each incorrect answer.

Q:   How much time is sufficient for NEET preparation?
A: 

The time for NEET preparation varies on factors like capacity of individual, hours of study per day, etc. Students should keep aside minimum five to six months for the NEET UG exam preparation. Candidates must keep a month prior to the exam for revision.

Q:   Is NEET exam tough for an average student?
A: 

NEET exam can be a little tough for average students, given the competition and difficulty level. However, average students can crack the NEET UG exam with disciplined and consistent efforts. NEET 2025 Exam Analysis for Chemistry

The difficulty level of NEET Chemistry section was moderate to tough. This section of the NEET question paper was dominated by NCERT based questions. The 45 questions that comprised this section had more theoretical questions. According to the experts, the weightage of the Organic Chemistry and Physical Chemistry sections was high whereas that of the Inorganic Chemistry section was low. The questions were mostly fundamental but there were four to five graph-based and numerical questions in this section. This section had higher emphasis on Class 12 syllabus. As per Aakash experts, some of the questions were based on multiple concepts. In comparison to last year, this year the Chemistry questions were more time-consuming.

NEET 2025 Exam Analysis for Biology

The NEET Biology section was the easiest section in the question paper of NEET 2025. However, few questions were unexpectedly challenging. Aakash experts said, “Multi-statement and match-the-column formats appeared most frequently, followed by assertion-and-reason type questions. Diagrams from the NCERT textbook were also used in a few questions. A significant portion of the questions focused on the units covering Genetics and Biotechnology.”

According to experts, the section included a balanced mix of factual, conceptual, and analytical questions. Higher weightage was given to be Class 12 syllabus.

No, you cannot join AIIMS Rishikesh directly. Students have to appear for the NEET entrance examination and then for the NEET counselling process to be eligible for a seat at this institute.

No, NEET is not necessary to get into clinical psychology colleges in India. There are other exams like GATE, which again is not required for many colleges offering the same.
