NEET(National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) 2017 was conducted in the offline mode on May 7 at 104 test cities across India. The exam was taken by more than 11 lakh candidates for admissions to 95,000 seats (65,000 MBBS and 25,000 BDS) offered by medical colleges in the country. NEET(UG) is not used for admissions to AIIMS and JIPMER.
According to experts, the paper this year was similar to 2016. The exam had a total of 180 questions spread across 4 sections - Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology. Each question was of marks and for every wrong answer, 1 mark was deducted. There were four sets of the paper. Yes, most paramedical Diploma and certificate courses do not require NEET entrance exam score. NEET is usually mandatory only for courses like MBBS or BDS, not standard paramedical programs. Admission to colleges for paramedical in Jaipur is generally based on Class 12 marks.

A NEET UG rank of 2000 could easily grant you admission irrespective of the category you belong to. The lowest closing rank accepted for admission to the MBBS course in the first round was 3061. No, physiotherapy admissions generally don't require NEET like MBBS does. Most colleges admit based on Class 12 marks or their own entrance exam. Some universities also accept CUET scores for admission. So your path here is a bit more flexible than the MBBS route. Just check each college's specific

As per the latest 2026 data, NEET UG Round 1 cut of was 344. It is very competitive to take admission in MBBS at AIIMS Jodhpur. This rank was for general category. For OBC, the cut off was 714.
