NEET(National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) 2017 was conducted in the offline mode on May 7 at 104 test cities across India. The exam was taken by more than 11 lakh candidates for admissions to 95,000 seats (65,000 MBBS and 25,000 BDS) offered by medical colleges in the country. NEET(UG) is not used for admissions to AIIMS and JIPMER.
According to experts, the paper this year was similar to 2016. The exam had a total of 180 questions spread across 4 sections - Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology. Each question was of marks and for every wrong answer, 1 mark was deducted. There were four sets of the paper. NEET cutoff 2026 for BHMS in Motiwala Homoeopathy Medical College has not been released. The minimum marks required for admission to BHMS in NEET 2025 was 144 marks for general category and 113 marks for Reserved categories (OBC/NT/SC/ST/VJ).

The NTA has not announced the NEET UG 2027 exam date as of now. However, the exam is likely to be held on May 2, 2027.

Currently, NEET is not required for most physiotherapy admissions. Most colleges admit students based on Class 12 marks. However, from 2026 onwards, NEET is expected to become mandatory as per the NCAHP notification. Students applying from 2026 onwards should keep NEET preparation as a priority.

The NTA has not released the NEET 2027 exam date yet. However, the NEET UG 2027 exam is likely to be held on May 2, that is, the first Sunday of the month, the trend followed by NTA in previous years.

NEET UG application fee:
- General/NRI: INR 1,700
- General-EWS/OBC-NCL: INR 1,600
- SC/ST/PwBD/Third Gender: INR 1,000
- Foreign Nationals/Outside India: INR 9,500

No, Punjabi University, Patiala are not decided based on NEET-UG score. Punjabi University, Patiala has only mentioned accepting scores of its ownin-house entrance exam to select candidates for BPharm courses.
Thus, candidates with a valid NEET-UG score will still need to appear in this entrance exam

The NTA will conduct the re NEET 2026 on June 21, 2026. The re exam will be held from 2.00 to 5.15 pm. Candidates who took NEET UG 2026 registration can appear for the re exam.
