Candidates can get admission to a private medical college in TN through NEET score. The admission is through two channels Government Quota and Management Quota. 50% State Quota is reserved in every private medical college of TN. Q:   Can I get AIIMS with 550 NEET scores?

The AIIMS accepts NEET scores for admission to the MBBS. Students need to obtain the NEET cut off percentile and scores to get shortlisted for counselling in AIIMS MBBS course. The NEET 2025 cutoff scores for generally category was 686-144. So, a general category student with 550 marks cannot take admissions to AIIMS.

Q:   What is the minimum marks to be scored for qualifying in NEET?
A: 

Candidates belonging to the General category should secure 50 percentile. Those belonging to the PwD General category has to secure 45 percentile. The NEET cutoff percentile for the reserved category candidates is 40. The exact qualifying marks or cutoff scores will be announced by NTA along with the scorecards. This year, General category candidates had to score minimum 137 marks to qualify for the exam.

Admission Process of Top Private Medical Colleges in TN

 Candidates who wish to get admission to the private medical colleges in Tamil Nadu need to apply online through DME Tamil Nadu website. Undergraduate admission will be based on NEET score and other eligibility criteria. The priority will be given to Tamil Nadu citizens. Eligible candidates need to apply online and exercise choice filling process. The seats will be allotted based on marks obtained in NEET and availability of total seats. MBBS admission counselling will be conducted online.

No, Haldia Institute of Dental Sciences and Research generally does not offer seats without NEET score. Students have to submit a valid NEET UG/ PG score and appear for the counselling rounds to get admission.

For NEET UG 2025, the cutoff for BPT (Bachelor of Physiotherapy) at Terna College of Physiotherapy, Navi Mumbai was around NEET score 330–350 for General category, and 300–320 for OBC/EWS. For SC/ST, the cutoff was lower, typically 250–280.
