CBSE career awareness programmes aim to equip school principals and counsellors with tools to provide structured career guidance, share information about higher education, and connect students with available scholarships.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced a series of career awareness programmes scheduled from June 12 to July 26, 2025. These sessions aim to equip school principals and counsellors with tools to provide structured career guidance, share information about higher education, and connect students with available scholarships.

Objectives of the Programme

The main goals of the programme are:

 To train school counsellors and principals in effective career guidance strategies.

 To share resources on internships, vocational training, and scholarship opportunities.

 To align career counselling practices with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.

 To help students identify their interests and aptitudes for better career decisions.

The CBSE emphasized the importance of strengthening school counselling systems in line with NEP 2020, which calls for a more personalized and inclusive approach to student development.

Schedule and Venue Details

The programme will be held in five cities, with one session in each location. Each session will run from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Participants are required to arrive by 9:30 AM.

 June 12, 2025 – Royal Global School, NH37, Betkuchi, Guwahati, Assam – 781035

 June 20, 2025 – Delhi Public School (North), Satanur Village, Jalahobli, Bengaluru North Taluk, Karnataka

 July 7, 2025 – Sunbeam School Varuna, Central Jail Road, Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh

 July 18, 2025 – Doon International School, Riverside Campus, Paundha, Dehradun

 July 26, 2025 – Rockwoods High School, Chitrakoot Nagar, Bhuwana, Udaipur

Registration Details

CBSE has asked principals and counsellors of affiliated schools to register through links shared for each venue. Participation is limited and will be confirmed on a firstcome, firstserved basis. A confirmation email will be sent to selected participants.

Please note: Travel and accommodation expenses (TA/DA) will be borne by participants themselves.

These career awareness sessions will enable schools to better support students by offering timely, accurate, and structured guidance on education and career opportunities. CBSE’s initiative is a step toward building a stronger support system for student success in line with national education goals.
