NIOS Board Exams 2026 Class 10, 12: Result (OUT), Admit Card, Date Sheet, Syllabus, Sample Papers

The National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) announced the NIOS Board 10th result 2026 on June 13, 2026. The students can check their NIOS Class 10 Result 2026 for April exam on he board's website. The board also declared the NIOS Class 12 Result 2026 on June 4, 2026. Candidates can check their NIOS Result 2026 through the official website of NIOS using their enrolment number. The NIOS Result 2026 will be made available online for Class 10, 12 students. Students can check the NIOS result 2026 by using Digilocker and SMS.

The National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) was established to cater to the needs of a mixed group of learners up to pre-degree level. The Open School was started in 1979 as a project with in-built flexibilities by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). It was established by the Government of India, Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) in 1989. NIOS provides Secondary, Senior Secondary and Vocational courses through open and distance learning(ODL) mode. In addition, it also provided Open Basic Education and Elementary Teacher Education Programme.

NIOS provides education through Open and Distance Learning (ODL) mode via incorporation of self-instructional print material, audio and video programmes supported by Personal Contact Programme (PCP) at the Accredited Institutions. These are further supplemented by Radio broadcast, TV programmes and Mukta Vidya Vani (audio streaming through the NIOS website).

The National Institute of Open Schooling released the NIOS exam date for class 10, 12 exams on the official website. The NIOS exam date sheet for April-May 2026 was out on March 25, 2026. NIOS 10th and 12th exam 2026 for practicals were conducted from March 17 to April 1, 2026.

The NIOS released the NIOS theory hall ticket 2026 on the official website in March 2026. The NIOS releases NIOS admit cards for Class 10 and Class 12, theory and practical exams in online mode. Usually the NIOS admit card is released one week prior to the exam. The NIOS 10th Hall ticket 2026 and NIOS 12th Hall ticket 2026 for practical and theory exams are released separately.

Students have to visit the official website and download the NIOS admit card 2026 by entering the enrollment number. Students can register for NIOS online admission 2024-25 via the official website - nios.ac.in by filling the NIOS admission form. The National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) conducts NIOS board exams for Class 10th and 12th twice a year, in March-April and October/November. NIOS examinations are conducted in April for Block-I and in October for Block-II.

Students can check the NIOS 2026 exam fees for public and on-demand examinations in the table given below. They have to pay INR 250 per subject for theory exams.

NIOS On Demand 2026 exam for Class 10 will be held in June 2026. ODE registration and fee submission for the same will be available on NIOS website from May 2026.

Confused about which Subjects to choose after 10th?

The National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) released the schedule for the NIOS 10th and 12th registration process and payment of exam fee for April/May 2026 public exams. For learners enrolled in stream I, Block I, and for eligible learners for exams prior to the Oct-Nov 2025 exams, could register from November 21 to December 20, 2025, without a late fee. They can register with a late fee of INR 100 per subject from December 21 to December 31, 2025. With a consolidated late fee of INR 1500 per learner, the registration was done from January 1 to January 10, 2026.

The NIOS admission for class 12th and 10th is conducted twice in a year. The first session is for April - Block 1 and the second is for October - Block 2. The last date for Online Admission of Stream-2 for Academic session 2025-26 was 31st July, 2025. The last date for NIOS 10th and 12th admission was January 31, 2025, without any late fee, for the October session. They should check the notification for the NIOS admission last date. NIOS Registration Dates For Oct/Nov 2026 Exam

Students can check official website for NIOS 12th and NIOS 10th application form. The schedule for registration for secondary and Senior Secondary for Oct/Nov 2026 is as follows.

Students have to submit the scanned copy of documents like marksheet of class 8 (for admission in class 10), marksheet of class 10 (for admission in class 12), adhaar card, signature, etc. They should note down the enrollment number. They are advised to take a printout of NIOS 12th application form.
