Prime Minister Modi also extended his congratulations, emphasizing the role of hard work and support systems. "Dear #ExamWarriors, Heartiest congratulations to everyone who has cleared the CBSE Class XII and X examinations!
Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to X today to celebrate the success of CBSE Class 10 and 12 students following the announcement of the CBSE Board Results 2025 earlier this morning. Their messages highlighted the studentsโ dedication, the outperformance of girls, and a broader message of resilience for those facing setbacks, reflecting Indiaโs commitment to nurturing its young talent.
"Heartiest congratulations to all my young friends and their parents, who have successfully cleared the CBSE Class XII and Class X examinations. This is a moment to rejoice and cherish the fruits of hard work, dedication and perseverance," Pradhan shared in his post. He added, "Wishing all the next-gen leaders a happy, healthy and bright future ahead."
Prime Minister Modi also extended his congratulations, emphasizing the role of hard work and support systems. "Dear #ExamWarriors, Heartiest congratulations to everyone who has cleared the CBSE Class XII and X examinations! This is the outcome of your determination, discipline and hard work. Today is also a day to acknowledge the role played by parents, teachers and all others who have contributed to this feat," Modi posted. He further encouraged students, saying, "Wishing Exam Warriors great success in all the opportunities that lie ahead!"
In a second post, Modi addressed students who might be feeling disheartened, offering words of encouragement: "To those who feel slightly dejected at their scores, I want to tell them: one exam can never define you. Your journey is much bigger and your strengths go far beyond the mark sheet. Stay confident, stay curious because great things await. #ExamWarriors."
Pradhan highlighted the consistent trend of female students outperforming their male counterparts. "As is the trend of the past, girls have yet again outshined boys in both Class XII and Class X by 5.94% and 2.37% respectively. This is a strong reflection of an emerging Bharat where aspirations of young women are turning into accomplishments," he noted in a follow-up post.
The CBSE Class 12 results for 2025 recorded an overall pass percentage of 88.39%, with girls achieving 91.64% compared to boys at 85.70%, according to data. Meanwhile, Class 10 results showed a pass percentage of 93.66%, where girls surpassed boys by 2.37%. Institutionally, Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas led with a 99.29% pass rate, followed by Kendriya Vidyalayas at 99.05%.
In case a student is unable to obtain 33 percent marks in any one subject in CBSE Class 12, they will be eligible to appear for the compartment exams for the same subject. The CBSE 12th compartment exams are held in June/July every year. This is a second chance to save the academic year.
Students are advised to finish the CBSE 12th syllabus and know the exam pattern well. They must also solve and practice previous years' question papers to get familiar with the questions asked in the exam. With focus, students can easily obtain the minimum passing marks.
