With the NIFT 2025 result expected to be announced shortly, a recent poll conducted by Shiksha sheds light on how prepared aspirants are for the crucial Studio Testโ€”the next stage in the admission process for design programs.

Conducted among more than 200 NIFT candidates, the poll reflects varied levels of readiness and confidence as students await the results of the entrance exam.ย

Shiksha poll asked: โ€œHow prepared are you for the Studio Test?โ€ย

The responses revealed varied levels of readiness:

  • 58% of participants said they will start preparing after the NIFTEE result is declared.

  • 24% indicated they are just getting started with their preparation.

  • Only 18% felt they were quite well prepared for the upcoming round.

The data suggests that while a small segment of students has already geared up for the second phase, the majority are still waiting for the written exam results before diving into preparation. Experts, however, advise early and consistent practice, as the Studio Test is a vital step in assessing candidatesโ€™ design aptitude, creativity, and problem-solving skills.

With the Studio Test and Personal Interview expected to follow soon after the results, candidates are encouraged to stay proactive and monitor official updates. Stay tuned with Shiksha for updates.

Q: ย  Can I apply for recheck of NIFT results?
A:

There is no option to apply for recheck of NIFT 2026 results.

However, if the candidate has any doubts, they are allowed to challenge the answer key. Note that the NIFT answer keys for GAT paper of the written exam will be released sometime in April 2026.

The exam conducting body in this case may look at the answer key and make changes if needed.

However, there will be no provision to recheck NIFT final results.

On reason for this may be because the Situation Test is a subjective-test. For that matter, the CAT also doesn't have any ideal solutions and so can be opened to a recheck.
