The SSC MTS and Havaldar exam will be conducted in October/November 2025, as per the exam pattern shown above. The new exam pattern has increased the weightage of General Awareness and English in the selection process. The questions will be set in English, Hindi, and 13 regional languages.
Negative Marking in SSC MTS and Havaldar Exam
SSC MTS and Havaldar paper 1 has a negative marking of the quantum of one by four. It implies that the one-by-fourth marks (of the marks assigned to that question) of the candidates will be deducted for each incorrect answer marked in the SSC MTS and Havaldar answer key online. SSC MTS exam is conducted online only as a Computer-Based Exam (CBE). The Commission conducts the SSC MTS exam every year to recruit candidates for the Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS). The Commission does not mention any limit to the number of attempts. The candidates can appear for the exam any number of times till they fulfil the age criteria.
