Nursing Admission 2025: Registration Fees, Eligibility, Top Institutes/Colleges in India

• Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English subjects and with a minimum of 45% aggregate score (40% for the Reserved category), from a recognized board.

• Class 12 with Science (PCB) and English Core/English Elective with a minimum of 45% aggregate under AISSCE/CBSE/ICSE/SSCE/HSCE or other equivalent Board.
• The minimum age of the candidate shall be 17 years on or before 31st December of the year of admission. The candidate should be medically fit.

• Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology subjects and with a minimum of 45% aggregate score from a recognized board.

• Class 12 with Science (PCB) and English Core/English Elective with a minimum of 45% aggregate under AISSCE/CBSE/ICSE/SSCE/HSCE or other equivalent Board.

• Class 12 students from the National Institute of Open School with a Science background are also eligible.

• Students from the State Open School, recognized by the State Government and the National Institute of Open School (NIOS), recognized by the Central Government, are also eligible.
• OR, Class 12 with English having 40% marks in the ANM course from a school recognized by the Indian Nursing Council.
• 5% relaxation on SC/ST candidates.
• The candidate should be medically fit. The minimum age for admission will be 17 years (as on 31st December of that year). The upper age limit is 35 years. For ANM/LHV, there is no age bar.

• Pass Class 12 in Arts and English Core/English Elective or Science or Health Care Science - Vocational stream (only passing out) from a recognized Board. 
• The candidate should be medically fit. The minimum age for admission will be 17 years (as on 31st December of that year). The upper age limit is 35 years. 

• Class 12 in the Science stream from a recognized board.
• The minimum age for admission will be 17 years (as on 31st December of that year).
• Must have a 3-year diploma in GNM. 
• Should be registered as Registered Nurses and Registered Midwives (RNRM). 
• OR In case of male nurses, beside being registered as a nurse with the State Nursing Council, should have obtained a certificate in General Nursing and instead of Training in Midwifery, training in any subject out of following, for six months: O.T. Techniques, Ophthalmic Nursing, Leprosy Nursing, TB Nursing, Psychiatric Nursing, Neurological and Neuro Surgical Nursing, Community Health Nursing, Cancer Nursing, or Orthopaedic Nursing.

• Class 12 from a recognized board and GNM from the registered council.

• Class 12 in the Science stream from a recognized board.
• Should be registered as Registered Nurses and Registered Midwives (RNRM). 
• Must have a 3-year diploma in GNM. 
• A minimum of 2 years of experience as a registered RNRM.

• Class 12 from a recognized board and Class 11 in or before 1986.
• A certificate in GNM and registered as R.N.R.M. with the State Nurses Registration Council.
• OR In case of male nurses, beside being registered as a nurse with the State Nursing Council, should have obtained a certificate in General Nursing and instead of Training in Midwifery, training in any subject out of following, for six months: O.T. • The candidate should be a registered Nurse and Midwife in the Tamil Nadu Nursing & Midwives Council or any other State Nursing Council accepted by the Authority of the University.

Eligibility Criteria

Class 10 and 12 with 50% from a recognized board or institute.

Entrance Exams

NEET, KCET, JKCET, IPU CET, CUET, KEAM, WBJEE, etc.

Recognized Class 12 Boards 

CBSE Class 12, Karnataka 2nd PUC, Maharashtra HSC, MPBSE Class 12, UP Class 12, Tamil Nadu Class 12, Kerala Class 12, etc.

NEET Syllabus

The NEET exam pattern states that the primary disciplines on the syllabus are Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (further broken down into Botany and Zoology). Each of the 200 multiple-choice questions in the test is worth four marks. For each incorrect response, one mark will be subtracted.

AIIMS Paramedical Syllabus

The course curriculum for classes 11 and 12 served as the foundation for the AIIMS Paramedical syllabus. For the AIIMS Paramedical test, a candidate should have studied Physics, Chemistry, and Biology in class twelve.

CUET Syllabus

There will be four components to the CUET exam. The first segment will assess candidates' language proficiency through questions based on reading comprehension passages. The subject chosen will be covered in the second section, and the third section will focus on general knowledge, current events, mathematics, and logical and analytical reasoning 

IPU CET Syllabus

The syllabus is the same as that of the NEET exam.
