
JCECE BSc nursing exam pattern 2025 is designed by the conducting body, Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board, Government of Jharkhand. The exam pattern comprises the details about the exam, such as the duration of the exam, language, and the marking scheme. The details will help the applicants understand the pattern of the exam and will help them better their preparation.
It is a pen-and-paper exam. The candidates have to appear for the state-level entrance exam. No online facility, such as access to a computer and the internet, will be given to the applicants. The OMR sheets with responses will be collected by the invigilator after the exam concludes. Applicants are required to carry their stationaries like a pen and pencil with them. The pen and paper-based exam will have question papers in a bilingual language that is English and Hindi.

JCECE BSc Nursing Important Instructions
JCECE BSc nursing questions paper will be based on the syllabus of class 12. The question paper will be aimed at testing the knowledge and ability of the applicants in all three subjects, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. The question paper will have three sections on all three mentioned subjects. Each section will have 50 multiple-choice questions and will carry 150 marks in total for the BSc Basic Nursing applicants and 100 marks for the BSc Post Basic Nursing applicants. According to the exam pattern, there will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for every incorrect response. Each correct response will translate to one mark. No marks will be deducted for the unanswered questions.
Applicants should also take note that the questions that have been left unattempted will not affect their marks in any way. For such questions, the examiner will neither add nor subtract any marks.

Instructions for Handling OMR Sheet
The applicants have to give their responses on an OMR sheet provided at the exam centre, and there will be certain guidelines mentioned on the usage of the OMR sheet, which the candidates should read carefully and follow the same before starting to attempt the question paper.
- Candidates will not be able to change their responses on the OMR sheet once answered
- There’s no option to erase the responses once answered
- Candidates will get a separate space for rough work purposes in the question booklet in the form of boxes, and no candidate is allowed to write anything on the OMR sheet.
- The responses should be marked correctly. Submitting responses in an inappropriate manner, like a tick, half-filled circle, or two circles marked for one response, will not be accepted and will be marked as incorrect responses
