The Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board will conduct the counselling process for admission to the BSc nursing course. All the counselling-related events and activities will be carried out online through the official website at jceceb.jharkhand.gov.in. The important steps to participate in the counselling are the release of the seat matrix, followed by the registration process, choice filling, and seat allotment, which will be done for each round of counselling. The counselling is expected to begin in August 2026. 

The JCECEB conducted five rounds of counselling to fill all the seats across the nursing colleges in Jharkhand State. Candidates who qualify for the JCECE nursing cutoff will be called in for the counselling process based on the merit list. The JCECE BSc Nursing 2026 documents verification process will be done offline. Candidates will have to report in person on the day of counselling to fulfill the formalities. The JCECE BSc Nursing cutoff will be released by the Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board on the official website through the official application prospectus. The cutoff indicates the scores in a category-wise manner. 

Q:   What is the JCECE BSc nursing for General category candidates?
A: 

The JCECE BSc nursing cutoff for the General category candidates is not released separately. The conducting body releases the marks against the cutoff rank and the admission is done on the basis of the ranks allotted to the aspirants.

JCECE BSc Nursing 2026 Counselling Process

The JCECE BSc nursing 2026 counselling process for Round 1 is mentioned below:  

  • Qualifying candidates will be invited to participate in the first round of counselling based on merit ranking
  • In the first round, the applicants will be allowed to choose the institute/college of their choice.
  • Following the verification of the required original certificates/ documents and prerequisites in accordance with the laid eligibility criteria, seats will be allotted to the applicants.

Counselling process for Round 2: 

  • JCECEB conducted the second round for the seats left vacant after the first round of counselling
  • Applicants who were already allotted seats in the first round of counselling could also participate in the second round in order to upgrade to the already allotted college.
  • To confirm their admission, applicants will have to pay the seat acceptance fee (last year, INR 1,000 was charged) via the Demand Draft (DD) drawn in favour of the Controller of Examination, JCECEB, payable at Ranchi.

On similar lines, a total of five rounds of counselling will be conducted to fill the vacant seats in the nursing programme for the Jharkhand state.

Q:   When did JCECE BSc Nursing counselling start?
A: 

The Jharkhand BSc Nursing counselling registration will start after the result announcement. The counselling will begin in September 2026. After the counselling registration concludes, the JCECE BSc Nursing seat allotment result will be released. Thereafter, the entire counselling events such as seat allotment & reporting to institutes, will continue for the next two consecutive months. 

Q:   How many rounds of counselling are conducted by JCECEB for admission to BSc nursing course?
A: 

The JCECEB conducts counselling in three rounds for the BSc nursing course. Candidates can expect an additional stray vacancy round for the seats that remain vacant. Generally, the counselling is conducted in online mode; however, the last round might be held in offline mode as well.

JCECE BSc Nursing 2026 Counselling Fee

The JCECE BSc Nursing 2026 application fee will be set by the conducting body. JCECE charged INR 400/- for General/EWS/BC-I/BC-II categories for participation last year. The application fee for ST/SC/Female candidates of all categories was INR 250/- in the previous year.

No, the JCECE BSc Nursing counselling participation fee can only be paid in online mode at the official website of the conducting body,  nursingbasic.jceceb.org.in. Candidates must pay the fee through either of the following modes of payment: RTGS, Credit Card, Debit Card, or UPI.

Q:   What is the JCECE counselling application fee?
A: 

The JCECE nursing counselling application fee is INR 400 for the General category aspirants. The female aspirants can pay INR 250/- to participate in the counselling. It needs to be paid online through a credit card/debit card/UPI.

Documents Required for JCECE BSc Nursing 2026 Counselling

Applicants will have to present the following documents in original and a set of self-attested photocopies of the same to participate in JCECE BSc Nursing 2026 counselling:

  • Class 12 Admit Card
  • Mark sheet of Class 12
  • Passing certificate (original/provisional) of Class 12
  • Class 10 Admit Card
  • Mark sheet of Class 10
  • Passing certificate (original/provisional) of Class 10

Q:   I don't have Class 10th documents, can I apply for JCECE counselling?

To participate in JCECE nursing counselling, a candidate must submit all the documents which are mentioned in the official prospectus. Class 10th documents are mandatory at the time of document verification. The applicants are advised to arrange for the documents before proceeding for admission formalities.  

Q:   What documents are required for verification in the JCECE nursing counselling?
A: 

Documents such as Class 10th and 12th Admit Card, marksheet, passing certificate, Local Resident Certificate issued by SDO (Civil)/ DC of Jharkhand state, Caste Certificate issued by SDO (Civil)/ DC of Jharkhand state are required for admission. In addition, applicants need to submit one passport-size photograph, JCECE BSc Nursing 2025 Admit Card, and a Disability Certificate issued by Medical Superintendent/CMO/Head of Hospital (if applicable).

The JCECE Round-1 counselling seat allotment result will be released as per the event calendar released by the counselling conducting body. All the dates for each round of counselling will be released on the official website.   

Q:   When will the registration for the JCECE Round-2 counselling begin?
A: 

The JCECE Round-2 counselling registration dates are released by JCECEB in online mode. Candidates must apply for the counselling within the deadline to apply for the preferred nursing college and course. 

Q:   When will the JCECE nursing mop-up round counselling begin?
A: 

Please note that only if the seats remain vacant after conducting two rounds of counselling, then an additional mop-up round of counselling be held. The dates for the same are released through the official notification by the JCECEB on the official website dedicated to the nursing programme.

The JCECE nursing test cities are decided by the conducting body, JCECEB. They release this list in the official prospectus every year for the aspirants. The cities are replaced also sometimes, and some new names get added, and older ones are dropped.
