AMIE 2024 Winter Exam: Admit Card (Out), Exam Dates, Centre, Syllabus, Registration & More

AMIE is the acronym for Associate Member of the Institution of Engineers. The AMIE exam is a degree-level examination in engineering conducted by the Institution of Engineers, India, for admission to BE and BTech courses conducted in distance mode. It is important to note here that the AMIE is the only gateway for students to study engineering in a distance mode. The degrees thus awarded are recognised by all the state governments, the Central Government, AICTE, UPSC, and other authorities.

AMIE 2024 Application Process: Online Mode

Candidates can fill the AIME 2024 summer application form through the official website via online mode which compromise of registration, filling application form, uploading documents, and paying the application fee. check the required steps below;

1. Visit the official website of the Institute of Engineers (India): https://www.ieindia.org/
2. New Candidates must create an account by clicking on the "Be a Member"
3. After registration candidates need to log in and fill out the AMIE 2024 application form
4. Candidates must fill in all the details correctly such as personnel details, academic details, and others. 
5. Candidates must fill in the test centre preferences very carefully
6. After completing the AMIE 2024 application form, upload the required documents such as a Photograph, education qualification certificates
7. Once completed, Candidates can finally submit the application form after preview.
8. After final submission, Candidates must make payment of the AMIE 2024 application fee through the prescribed means only.

AMIE 2024 Application Process: Offline

Candidates can fill out the AMIE 2024 application form in offline mode,check the following steps;

• Download the AMIE 2024 Application Form PDF
• Fill the AMIE 2024 application form
• Attach the Demand Draft according to the AIME 2024 application fee
• Send only to the Secretary & Director General, The Institution of Engineers (India), 8 Gokhale Road, Kolkata 700 020, and must accompany the fee by DRAFT drawn on a Bank at Kolkata in favour of 'The Institution of Engineers (India)'.
  Particulars of the Draft should be mentioned in the form at the appropriate place. Name and Membership No. of the candidate must be mentioned on the reverse of the draft.
• Cheques, postal orders, money orders, etc are not acceptable for payment of the examination fee

To be eligible to appear for AMIE 2024 summer exam, candidates need to fulfill the following criteria:

• Applicants with a 3-year Polytechnic Diploma or its equivalent in any branch of engineering can apply for AMIE.
• Please note that there will be no marks restriction in the admission process.
• Any candidate who has done +2/HSC/PDC with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics as the main subject with a minimum of 45% marks, can appear for this exam.
• Also, candidates with any educational qualifications equivalent to the above, are eligible to apply for AMIE. 

The Institute of Engineers (India) will release the AMIE 2024 admit card after the completion of the AMIE 2024 application process. Candidates will be able to download the admit card through the official website before the AMIE 2024 exam date.
