The practical marks are to be assessed based on three criteria which are Laboratory Notebook (2 marks), Viva- Voce (3 marks), Experimental Exercise (5 marks). The maximum marks for the practical are ten marks.

The students need to have thorough knowledge about the syllabus and the exam pattern before starting with the preparation of the examination. Revise the topics again and again but avoid stressing over trivial things. Solve sample question papers to get a proper idea of the exam pattern. Stay calm, get a good sleep and avoid getting anxious. A few trips to help with preparation are given below:

  • Mathematics: The only way to score more in Mathematics is to practise more. Practise every question, study from reference books and practice all questions as many times as you can. Try to solve more questions of the same pattern to have a command over the topic.
  • Science: Science is a combination of theory and practical. You need to apply your analytical mind as well as your grasping power. Try to understand the concepts in each chapter and prepare notes for all topics.
  • Social Science: Social Science is a very scoring subject. It requires the student to have an in-depth knowledge of all the topics. The key to scoring well is to prepare short notes and revise them thoroughly before the exam.
  • Language subjects: Solve as many sample papers as you can to score well in the language subjects.
  • Additional subject: Optional subjects are provided according to the preference of the student. Thus you are advised to choose a subject according to your ease. Selecting a subject which you find to be exciting and easy to study as a good score in an additional subject is an excellent means to increase your overall score.
