UP Board 10th Exams 2026: The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (Board of High School and Intermediate Education, Uttar Pradesh) has revised 2026 board exam schedule for Hindi. As per the revised date sheet, UP 10th Hindi and Primary Hindi exams will be held on February 18, 2026, in the morning shift from 8:30 am to 11:45 am. The UPMSP notice reads that no other subject has been changed, and all remaining exams will be held as per the previously released schedule.

UP board announced the UPMSP 10th exam date 2026, according to which, the UPMSP Class 10 exams 2026 will be held from February 18 to March 12, 2026, in pen and paper mode. The UP High School exams will be conducted in two shifts (8:30 am to 11:45 am and 2 pm to 5:15 pm).

The Uttar Pradesh Board will release the UP Board 10th admit card 2026 in February 2026, in offline mode. The students must note that the state board directly send the UPMSP Admit Card 2026 Class 10 to all UP Board schools. There is no option available for UP Board 12th Admit Card Download online for the students. Students are required to collect their admit cards from school and check for any discrepancies in it. They must carry the admit card on all exam days. Without it, no student is allowed to write the paper.

Q:   What is the total number of candidates appearing for the UP Board Class 10 exams?

Every year, around 29 lakh of students appear for UP 10th exams. In, a total of 55,08,206 students have applied for UPMSP Board Examinatin 2025 Class 10 and 12, down from 58,84,634 the year 2024. In 2023, a total of 31,16,487 students registered for the UP 10th exam. Out of the registered students, 2,08,953 students did not appear for the UPMSP Matric exams. As per the officials, UP Board 10th result 2024 had an overall pass percentage of 89.55%. A total of 86.05% of boys passed the exam while 93.40% of girls cleared the exam. In 2025, 90.11 % students managed to clear the exam.

Q:   Which books are used in UP Board 10th exams?

Students must note that the UPMSP follow NCERT syllabus and text books from 2018. Hence, UP Board prescribe the students to use NCERT books. NCERT Books covers the entire topics included in the UPMSP 10th syllabus. In UP 12th board exams, the questions are asked from NCERT books only.

As per last year’s exam schedule, the duration of the UP Class 10 exam is 3 hours and 15 minutes. 15 minutes is given to read the question paper while the students need to write the answer within a three-hour duration.

Q:   Will UPMSP conduct class 10 board exams twice a year?

As of yet, the board has not confirmed that the UP Board exams will be held twice a year. However, many boards, including CBSE, MPBSE, CGBSE, RBSE and many other boards, are conducting or will conduct the board exams twice a year. The board will take a decision regarding the same soon.

The UP Board was set up in the year 1921 as an act of the United Provinces Legislative Council. Headquartered in Prayagraj, which was originally called Allahabad, the Board is Asia’s largest board in terms of the number of students appearing every year. The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (Board of High School and Intermediate Education Uttar Pradesh) is the state government an autonomous body and is the examining authority for the examinations of Class 10. The Education Council is the highest institution in the world to conduct high school (10th class) examinations. At present, there are more than 22,000 secondary schools recognized by the board and it conducts the examinations and prepares results of nearly 58 lakh students.

The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) conducts High School Class 10 exams in March every year. The state-level exam is offered in pen and paper mode at various centers across Uttar Pradesh. The UP Board Class 10 examinations are conducted for 6 main subjects namely Hindi, English, Mathematics, Science, Drawing, and Social Sciences. UP Board 10th Exam Pattern 2026

The board prescribes the UP Board 10th exam pattern 2025. In 202, the board made a change in the exam pattern. Now, the students have to answer 70 marks questions, out of which 50 marks will be distributed for descriptive questions and 20 marks will be for the objective questions. According to the UP Board 10th exam pattern, the duration of the examination is 3 hours. Another 15 minutes are given to students to go through the question paper. Q:   What percent marks do I need to score to secure an A1 or A2 grade in the UP Board 10th exam?
A: 

In order to pass the UP Board exams, the students must secure a grade point. For all the subjects except Science, the maximum theory paper mark is 80 and the Internal Assessment mark is 20. For Science, the students can be allotted a maximum of 70 marks in theory 70 and 30 in practicals. To secure an A1 grade in UPMSP 10th exam, the students need to obtain a percentage of marks between 91-100 while to secure an A2 grade, the students need to score marks between 81-90.

UP Board High School passing marks are as follows:

  1. Students need to score a minimum of 33% marks in High school Result UP Board 
  2. The practical subject marks are also added in preparing the final mark sheet for UP Board Class 10

The UP Board 10th exams evaluation is done on the basis of the Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) pattern. UP Board 10th Result mark sheet comprises grades for each subject based on the UP Board 10th grading system. Under CCE, all the theory exams carry a weightage of 70 marks while the practical and internal tests carry 30 marks.
