Candidates seeking admission to B.Des program through UCEED 2025 must meet the prescribed eligibility criteria, e.g. - no. of attempts, age limit, qualifying exam, and minimum marks. If a candidate fails to meet these criteria, then he or she could be disqualified at any stage of the admission process. So, carefully go through the detailed eligibility criteria of UCEED below.

IIT Bombay will open the online application form for UCEED 2025 in October 2024 (tentative).

UCEED application is for admission to the B.Des program offered by UCEED 2025 participating colleges. Interested candidates need to ensure that they meet the UCEED 2025 eligibility criteria before they proceed to fill out the form.

The eligibility criteria for the B.Des program include parameters like age limit, qualifying exam, minimum marks, and other important details. 

Note that if the candidate fails to meet the eligibility criteria, he or she will not be considered for admission to the B.Des program under any circumstances.

Q:   Do I need 75% to get into DTU?

A:

For admission to most of the undergraduate and postgraduate courses offered at Delhi Technological University, students are required to score 50% to 60% minimum aggregate in their last qualifying degree or course to be eligible. A course-wise list of eligibility criteria for DTU admission is mentioned in the following table:

Hence, as per the table, it can be concluded that while all 75% scorers will be preferred at DTU, the minimum requirement to get admission and be eligible for DTU admission is comparatively low. 

Q:   Can I get into DTU without giving JEE?

A:

No, candidates cannot get admission to DTU without appearing for JEE Main as the DTU BTech counselling is done through JAC Delhi. The basic criteria for admission to BTech is appearing for JEE Mains. To get into DTU, candidates must score decent marks or at least around 220 or above marks in JEE Mains. The only way to get into DTU without appearing for JEE Main is by taking a lateral entry admission to BTech second year. In order to do this, candidates must complete a Polytechnic course of two years and then appear for an entrance exam (not JEE Main but this exam will give you entry in DTU's second year.

Q:   Is Mathematics compulsory for BCA admission at VIT Vellore?

A:

Yes, candidates need to have Mathematics or Business Mathematics as one of the main subjects while pursuing Class 12 to apply for BCA admission at VIT Vellore.

The candidate must also keep in mind that using counterfeit data to fake one's identity could not only lead to disqualification of candidature but legal action could also be initiated against such candidates.

UCEED 2025 eligibility criteria  

The candidate needs to meet the following eligibility criteria for appearing in UCEED 2025.

  1. Age limit - The candidate must be born on or after October 1, 2000. Relaxation in the upper age limit of 5 years applies to candidates belonging to SC, ST, and PwD categories. 
  2. Number of attempts - A candidate is allowed to take the UCEED exam a maximum of two times and that too in consecutive years.
  3. Qualifying exam - The candidate must have passed all the subjects in the qualifying exam (10+2 or equivalent) in 2023 or should be appearing in the qualifying exam for the first time in 2025. Candidates who have appeared in the qualifying for the first time in 2023 or earlier are not eligible.

Eligibility criteria for admission to the B.Des program

Note that the eligibility criteria for appearing in UCEED 2025 are not the same as the eligibility criteria for admission to the B.Des program.

Q:   Is there any entrance exam for MIT-WPU?

A:

Yes, for admissions, MIT World Peace University conducts MIT WPU CET entrance tests for undergraduate and postgraduate courses. Apart from these, MIT-WPU also accepts several national-level entrance exam scores such as JEE Main, CAT, NEET-UG, MAT and XAT, among others. MIT-WPUalso offers merit-based admission to a few undergraduate and postgraduate courses. Q:   What minimum marks are required for BTech at VIT Vellore?

A:

VIT Vellore officials do not release any VITEEE cutoff data in the public domain. However, as per the data collated from multiple sources regarding VITEEE 2021 cutoff, here are a few important highlights and predictions for VITEEE cutoff:

  • VIT (most probably) will call the first 20,000 rank holders of VITEEE for Phase-1 of counselling which will start from July onwards
  • VIT university uses equating methodology to calculate candidate’s marks
  • Candidates with a score of 118 or above are likely to fall between 1-250 rank range
  • Those with less than 31 marks are expected to have a rank of 20,000 or below

Q:   Can I get MTech in IIT Bombay with GATE?

A:

Yes, GATE score is required to get admission to IIT Bombay course. However, aspirants who have not qualified GATE can also get admission based on written test conducted by the institute. The shortlisted candidates are further called for a personal interview round. In order to be eligible to apply for the course, an aspirant must have a BE/ BTech/ BSc/ Bachelor of Architecture and Bachelor of Planning/ MSc/ MCA/ MBBS/ MPharm/ BPharm/ BDS/ degree recognised equivalent to BE/ BTech with a minimum of 60% aggregate (55% aggregate for SC/ ST/ PwD category) earned through Associate Membership Examinations conducted by recognised professional bodies to apply for MTech course.

Q:   Which exam score is accepted for IIT Bombay admissions for the M.Tech course?

A:
IIT Bombay accepts GATE score for admission to M.Tech course. Candidates must have a BE/ B.Tech/ B.Sc/ Bachelor of Architecture and Bachelor of Planning/ M.Sc/ MCA/ MBBS/ MPharm/ B.Pharma/ BDS/ degree recognised equivalent to BE/ B.Tech with a minimum of 60% aggregate (55% aggregate for SC/ ST/ PwD category).. .

Q:   Can I get into IIT Hyderabad without JEE Main?

A:

No, IIT Hyderabad admission 2024 to the BTech course is done only through JEE Main and JEE Advanced. Candidates seeking IIT Hyderabad admissions to the BTech programme are expected to qualify for both JEE Main and JEE Advanced and further go through JoSAA counseling to secure admission. Additionally, to be eligible for the BTech programme, candidates must have passed their Class 12 with 75% aggregate or equivalent. To be considered for admission to UCEED 2025 participating institutes, the candidates need to meet the following conditions simultaneously: 

  1. Age limit - The candidate needs to be born on or after October 1, 2000. For candidates belonging to SC, ST, and PwD categories, there is a relaxation of five years. 
  2. UCEED 2025 qualification - The candidate must have qualified in the UCEED 2025 entrance exam and must have been allocated a merit rank.
  3. Qualifying examination - The candidate must have passed all the subjects in the qualifying exam (10+2 or equivalent) in 2024 or should be appearing in the qualifying exam for the first time in 2025. Such candidates who appeared in the qualifying for the first time in 2023 or earlier are not eligible.

Additionally, the candidate also needs to meet the institute-specific eligibility requirements discussed below.

Institute-specific Eligibility Criteria for Admission to B.Des course through UCEED 2025

Apart from the eligibility criteria mentioned above, the participating institutes have their own eligibility conditions given below.

  • Candidates from the Science Stream with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics are eligible to apply to ALL the five participating institutes.
  • Candidates from any other stream (Science without Mathematics or Physics or Chemistry, Commerce, and Arts & Humanities) are eligible to apply to IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, and IIT Hyderabad.
  • For admission to BDes at IIITDM Jabalpur, only students with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology at 10+2 are eligible.
  • Students from Arts or Humanities at 10+2 are not eligible to apply for BDes admissions at IIITDM Jabalpur.

In case the Class XII examination is not a public examination, the candidate must have passed at least one public (Board or Pre-University) examination earlier.

UCEED 2025 Reservation Criteria

The category-wise reservation of seats in UCEED 2025 is given in the table below:

A. IIT Bombay will release the elgibility criteria of UCEED 2025 tentatively in the last week of October 2024. The eligibility criteria will be outlined in the UCEED 2025 information brochure.

Q. What is the maximum age limit to appear in the UCEED 2025 exam?

A. The candidate should have been born on or after October 1, 2000 if belonging to the OPEN/EWS/OBC-NCL category and, on or after October 1, 1994 if belonging to the SC, ST or PwD category.

Q. Will I be considered for admission to the B.Des program if I don't meet the UCEED 2025 eligibility criteri?

A. If the candidate doesn't meet the prescribed eligibility criteria for the B.Des program, he or she will not be considered for admisison. Note that all documents will be verified at the time of UCEED counseling and seat allotment.

Q. How many times am I allowed to appear in the UCEED exam?

A. The candidate is allowed to appear in the UCEED exam a maximum of two times. Further, there mustn't be any gap year between the two attempts.

The mean and standard deviation for Part-A in UCEED 2023 are 42.80 and 22.05. Which means the percentile should be above 75. Even though the 75 percentile might increase if the exam which conducted is easy. Note that the Part-B answer booklets will be evaluated only if the candidate meets the Part-A
