Candidates seeking admission to B.Des through UCEED 2026 must meet the prescribed eligibility criteria, which include the no. of attempts, age limit, qualifying exam, minimum marks, etc. If a candidate fails to meet these criteria, then they can be disqualified at any stage of the admission process. IIT Bombay will close registration for B.Des UCEED 2026 on November 05, 2025 with regular fees. The last date to fill out the application form is November 05, 2025 with regular fees and November 10, 2025 with late fees of INR 500. Meanwhile, the UCEED 2026 exam will be conducted on January 18, 2026. 

UCEED 2026 scores will be considered for admission to the B.Des program offered by UCEED 2026 participating colleges. Interested candidates need to ensure that they meet the eligibility criteria before proceeding to fill out the form. UCEED 2026 Eligibility Criteria  

The candidate needs to meet the following eligibility criteria to appear in UCEED 2026.

  1. Age limit - The candidate must be born on or after October 1, 2001. Relaxation in the upper age limit of 5 years applies to candidates belonging to SC, ST, and PwD categories. 
  2. Number of attempts - A candidate is allowed to take the UCEED exam a maximum of two times and that too in consecutive years.
  3. Qualifying exam - The candidate must have passed all the subjects in the qualifying exam (10+2 or equivalent) in 2024 or should be appearing in the qualifying exam for the first time in 2026. Candidates who have appeared in the qualifying for the first time in 2024 or earlier are not eligible.

Additionally, the candidate also needs to meet the institute-specific eligibility requirements discussed below.

 

Institute-specific Eligibility Criteria for Admission to B.Des course through UCEED 2026

Apart from the eligibility criteria mentioned above, the participating institutes have their own eligibility conditions, given below.

Q:   Does MIT-WPU accept MHT-CET scores?
A:

Yes, MIT-WPU accepts the Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHT-CET) entrance test scores for admission to a few undergraduate and postgraduate courses. For MIT-WPU BTech admission, the University accepts either JEE Main/ MHT-CET or PERA CET entrance exam scores. Apart from BTech, MIT-WPU also accepts MHT- CET for MBA and BPharm admission. Apart from that, the university also considers the score of various other state and national-level entrance exams such as PERA CET, JEE Main, CAT, MAT, NEET UG, etc., for admission of candidates to various courses from the streams of Science, Management, Humanties, etc. Click here for the detailed MHT CET application process.

Q:   Does Nirma University offer admission to the BArch course with a NATA score?
A:

Yes, in fact, it is necessary for a student to have NATA scores to apply for BArch at this university. Further, the selection is subject to the merit scores of the applicants.

Q:   What is the CAT percentile required for SJMSOM?
A:

Candidates need to qualify CAT to get admission in MBA. Find below the minimum percentile cutoff score to be considered for selecting candidates for IIT Bombay admission for MBA:

  • Candidates from the Science Stream with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics are eligible to apply to all the participating institutes.
  • Candidates from any other stream (Science without Mathematics or Physics or Chemistry, Commerce, and Arts & Humanities) are eligible to apply to IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, and IIT Hyderabad.
  • For admission to BDes at IIITDM Jabalpur, only students with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology at 10+2 are eligible.
  • Students from Arts or Humanities at 10+2 are not eligible to apply for BDes admissions at IIITDM Jabalpur.

UCEED 2026: List of Qualifying Exams

Candidates can go through the list of qualifying exams that are accepted as part of UCEED eligibility criteria 2026 in the table below:

Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Institute of Open Schooling with a minimum of five subjects.

Any Public School, Board or University examination in India or in a foreign country recognised as equivalent to the 10+2 system by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).

HSC vocational examination.

A Diploma recognised by the All India Council for Technical Education (www.aicte-india.org) or a State Board of Technical Education of at least 3 years duration.

General Certificate Education (GCE) examination (London, Cambridge or Sri Lanka) at the Advanced (A) level.

High School Certificate Examination of the Cambridge University or International Baccalaureate Diploma of the International Baccalaureate Office, Geneva.

Candidates who have completed Class XII (or equivalent) examination outside India or from a Board not specified above should produce a certificate from the Association of Indian Universities to the effect that the examination they have passed is equivalent to the Class XII examination.

In case the Class XII examination is not a public examination, the candidate must have passed at least one public (Board or Pre-University) examination earlier.
