SRMJEEE(UG) 2017 exam is all set to be conducted on April 1 to April 30(May 1 to June 30 only for filling lapsed / cancelled seats). The registration process for the same in underway. Check SRMJEEE 2017 important dates here!
For the year 2017, SRM University has introduced various changes in SRMJEEE(UG). To start with, the university has introduced an option to retake the exam. Candidates appearing for the exam in 2017 will be able to take two retakes of the online SRMJEEE(UG) 2017 entrance exam. The application fee to retake the exam will be Rs. 1,060, which is required to be paid through online mode.

Secondly, the university has also removed the scheme of negative marking from SRMJEEE(UG).

Subsequently, from next year, state/central board topper, top rank holders of JEE Main and districts toppers of Tamil Nadu and exemplary sports persons at National and International level will be eligible for direct admissions in the University.
SRM University has also tweaked the rules for minimum qualifying marks along with making some changes to the SRMJEEE(UG) eligibility criteria:

| Minimum Qualifying Marks |
Aspirants must have secured minimum 60 per cent aggregate marks in PCM in the qualifying exams for admissions to Kattankulathur, Ramapuram and Vadapalani campuses. While, for admissions to Delhi - NCR campus, candidates should obtain a minimum of 55% aggregate marks in PCM or PCB.
Last year, aspirants were required to obtain 65% and 60% respectively. |

Aspirants who have secured an International Baccalaurette (IB) with diploma or A-level with major subjects as PCM (for B.Tech programmes) or PCM/PCB (for B.Tech – Biomedical Engineering & Genetic Engineering) from any International school within India can apply for the exam. |

SRMJEEE 2017 Test Centers:
Besides India, SRMJEEE 2017 will be held in 5 test centers abroad namely Dubai, Muscat, Kuwait, Bahrain and Doha. According to the website, the university has reduced the number of SRMJEEE test centers in India from 150 to 120.
What's new in SRMJEEE 2017?
The candidates will have the flexibility of booking the examination slot as per their convenience within a duration of 30 days – from April 1 to April 30, 2017.
The candidates under the category under NRI/PIO/OCI have an option to take the SRMJEEE and compete with the domestic candidates. If they are successful in getting and admission then they get an entry level scholarship of 35% on tuition fees.

To apply for SRMJEEE PG, candidates need to meet the minimum qualifying criteria which includes academic criteria and minimum qualifying criteria, which are as follows -

No, candidates cannot change their SRMJEEE M.Tech exam date once allotted. Students will have to appear for the exam on the date they have applied for.

The difficulty level of Physics section in SRMJEEE is similar to class 11 and 12 exam. Students can score good marks in SRMJEEE by studying trough NCERT class 11 and 12 books of Physics.

As per the details available in the information brochure, SRMJEEE 2026 will have a total 130 questions, 35 each from Physics and Chemistry, 40 from Mathematics and 20 from English & Aptitude.

The application fees of SRM for international applicants is USD 50 $. It must be noted that NR or PIO card holder need not appear in SRMJEEE. They just need to fill the application form and the selection will be based in qualifying exam scores.

No, it is not mandatory to appear in all three phases of SRMJEEE. Candidates can appear in any one, two or all three phases, depending on their choice. If candidates appear in more than one phase, the best of all attempted score will be considered for admission.
