JEE Advanced Result Date 2026 and Time: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee announced JEE Advanced 2026 Result on May 31. The result was announced ahead of its scheduled release date and time, which was June 1. JEE Advanced result can be checke online on the website jeeadv.ac.in. Candidates can download scorecard using the JEE Adv result login in the website using their registration number, date of birth and mobile number.
The candidates result will have details about their marks in all three subjects in Paper 1 and 2, total marks and qualification status in JEE Advanced 2026. If candidates are qualified, they will be assigned an All India Rank which will be mentioned in the result. All qualified candidates can participate in the counselling for admission to IITs.

What Happens After JEE Advanced Result is Declared?

Category-wise All India Ranks (AIR) of successful candidates is available through the JEE Advanced 2026 online portal. Candidates who are declared qualified in the exam will be eligible to participate in the JEE Advanced counselling 2026. The counselling is organized by Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA). Registration for JEE Advanced counselling 2026 was open from June 2 to 11. The complete schedule for counselling has been announced in JoSAA portal.

No, your candidature will be rejected as you need to have minimum of 75% in class 12 to be eligible for admisison to the IITs, NIT, IIITs and GFTIs via the JoSAA counselling. Even if you pass JEE Advanced and JEE Main, of you do not have 75% minimum marks in class 12 boards you will no get admissions.

The JEE Advanced 2025 cutoff of the common rank list is 20.56%; 18.50% for the GEN-EWS rank list and OBC-NCL rank list; 10.28% for SC, ST, and PwD rank lists across all categories; and 5.14% for Preparatory course rank lists.
All those candidates who score above the cutoff marks in their respective categories can register for JoSAA counselling to participate in the IIT seat allotment process. Note that qualifying the JEE Advaced cutoff will not guarantee a seat in the IITs. Various factors are at play while allotting seats in the IITs. These factors include the demand for a course and IIT, the number of seats on offer, the reservation criteria, etc.
JoSAA 2026 counselling for JEE Main and JEE Advanced qualifiers has started. The entire schedule of JoSAA counselling 2026 has been uploaded on josaa.nic.in. The round 1 seat allotment result was announced on June 13 and the round 2 results was announced on June 30.
The conducting IIT sometimes send the JEE Advanced result on the email of parents and candidates are provided while registering for the exam. However, in certain year the result is not sent via email.
