JEE Main 2026 Session 2 Paper 2: The JEE Main 2026 April session Paper 2A (B.Arch) and Paper 2B (B.Plan) is conducted successfully today, April 7. According to students who appeared for the JEE Main Paper 2A and 2B, the paper was moderate to tough. Maths had a few lengthy and tricky questions. Drawing section was easy, although some found it to be confusing. Students shared that higher accuracy was needed to solve maths and aptitude questions. Average safe attempts were around 30 questions. Students also shared JEE Main 2026 April 7 memory-based questions, some of them are shared below -

While the official answer keys will be released by National Testing Agency (NTA) a few days after the exam is conducted, candidates will be able to check unofficial answer keys along with memory-based question papers on this page soon. This will help them evaluate their performance and estimate the marks they will be getting in the exam and forecast their qualification chances in the JEE Mains paper 2 exam. This exam is the gateway to premier institutes like SPAs and NITs.

Candidates can check the allotted JEE Mains 2026 exam date on their JEE admit card and also on the city intimation slip.

Q:   What documents are required to participate in JEE Main counselling?

To participate in the JEE Main counselling, candidates will need to upload the following documents at the time of JoSAA registration. Class 10 mark sheet/certificate, Class 12 Certificate of category (if applicable), PwD Certificate (if applicable). After the seat allotment, while reporting to the institute, candidates will also need to submit documents like JoSAA seat allotment letter, JEE Main/Advanced admit card, Gap Certificate (if gap after class 12).

Q:   What are the qualifying marks for JEE Mains 2026?

Qualifying marks for JEE Mains 2026, also called qualifying percentile for JEE Mains will be announced by the NTA along with the JEE Main 2026 session 2 result. Candidates must note that qualifying percentile for JEE Mains 2026 is the minimum percentile required to appear in JEE Advanced 2026. For admission to NIT or IIITs, there is no provision of qualifying marks in JEE Mains 2026 and admission is given based on All India Rank in JEE Mains exam. JEE Main exam is conducted in online mode as a computer based test. This is conducted in 3 different courses. The exam for B.Tech and B. Plan is completely online while the exam for B.Arch is partially online and drawing part is conducted offline.

Candidates can check JoSAA opening and closing ranks on the official website. They have to enter the details asked to check the list of courses and colleges based on the OR and CR of each counselling round.

Q:   What type of questions are asked in JEE Main?

There are two question types in JEE Main exam. Multiple choice questions and numerical ability questions. In MCQ, every question has 4 options with only 1 correct answer. Select the correct option. In numerical ability question type, no options are there. Solve them and write answer using keyword and mouse.

Q:   Where can I get previous year JEE Main question papers?

Students can download JEE Main previous year question paper from Shiksha page. Candidates are provided JEE Main previous year question papers from the year 2014 to 2026. The papers can be downloaded as PDF and can be practised to prepare for the exam.

Q:   Do I need to attempt all the questions in JEE Main exam?
A: 

NO, it is compulsory to attempt all questions in the JEE Main exam. The JEE Main exam has negative marking and candidates must answer only those questions for which they know the correct answer. Students must note that there are no minimum marks in JEE Main that students need to score. Students gets All India Rank based on the marks they secure in exam and gets admission based on that rank.

Q:   Can I change the language of the question paper during the exam?
A: 

JEE Main question paper is in English, Hindi and language selected when you filled application form. In total, JEE Main is in 13 languages and you can select any language out of available options. You cannot switch language of question paper during exam.

Yes, eligible candidates can get admission in SGT University without appearing for JEE (Mains). The university gives admission based on marks or CUET-UG.  The university also conducts SGTUEE for admission.

Apex University fills its seats via CUET or AUCET scores. AUCET is an in-house entrance test conducted for admission in UG and PG courses. Hence, aspirants do not require JEE Main scores to get admission.
