The NTA will conduct the JEE Main 2024 April exam from April 4 to April 15, 2024. NTA releases JEE Main 2025 Session 2 Exam city intimation slip in March. JEE Main Session 2 City Intimation Slip 2025 is available for download on the JEE Main official website jeemain.nta.nic.in. The exam city slip will have details of city in which the test centre of candidate is located and the date of exam. The JEE Mains exam city slip 2025 session 1 was released on January 10.

About JEE Main and its importance
It is a computer-based exam conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) to help candidates enroll in undergraduate engineering programmes at prestigious engineering schools. It is conducted for admission to BTech, BArch and BPlan courses at NITs, IIITs, other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs), Institutions/Universities funded/recognized by participating State Governments. The JEE Main exam is also an eligibility test for JEE Advanced, conducted for admission to IITs. If a candidate wants to pursue a profession in engineering, then he or she must be familiar with the significance of the JEE Main Exam and the necessary information. The format and difficulty level of the JEE Main exam have altered since the commencement of the exam.
What are the stages of JEE Main 2024 preparation?
It is recommended to the students that before starting preparation, it is important to plan a strategy for preparation. Various stages are involved in the preparation of JEE Main. With the help of this, students can complete the JEE Mains preparation in time and get enough time for revision.
The first session exam was conducted on January 22, 23, 24, 28 and 29, 2025 (Paper 1), and January 30, 2025 (Paper 2). The second session of JEE Mains was held from April 1 to 8, 2025. The JEE Main 2025 exam date for sessions 1 and 2 can be checked on the website jeemain.nta.nic.in.
JEE Main city intimation slip 2026 will be available on the NTA official website jeemain.nta.ac.in tentatively in the third week of January for the session 1 exam. JEE Mains City slip have details about the JEE Main exam city in which the candidate is allotted the centre to appear in the exam and the date of exam. It helps candidates to plan their travel to the JEE Main exam centre in advance. JEE Main city intimation slip is different from the admit card.
The total duration of JEE Main exam is 3 hours and the exam is conducted continuous without any break. Candidates have to enter the exam hall as per the scheduled time and can leave exam hall only after the completion of paper. The exam will have a total of 75 questions from 3 subjects, Physics Chemistry and Mathematics.

- The most important thing is to have a clear understanding of the JEE Main Syllabus during the preparation journey. The candidate should be well versed in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in classes 11 and 12.
- The candidate can also segregate the JEE Main Syllabus and divide topics into easy, tough, and very tough. This will help to make plans for the preparation of JEE Main. Also, segregate topics in each subject into classes 11 and 12 to allow for common preparation for both board and entrance exams.

Physics: In Physics, Communication Device units has been removed from the syllabus
Chemistry: Surface Chemistry, States of Matter, General Principles and Processes of Isolation of Metals, s-block elements, Hydrogen, Environmental Chemistry, Alcohol Phenol and Ether, Polymers chapters have been removed.

A. A student can prepare for both JEE Mains and Advanced together, but as per the experts, it is not a wise idea to prepare together for both exams.
