JoSAA Login 2025: Candidates can access the JoSAA candidate portal after completing the JoSAA counselling registration process. JoSAA 2025 registration and choice filling has started and will be open till June 12. To initiate registration for JoSAA 2025, candidates are required to input their JEE Main 2025 application number, date of birth, mother's name, and their own name. How to Create JoSAA Login 2025?
Creating the JoSAA login is easy and can be completed using the following easy steps:
- Candidates should initiate the process by selecting the “New Candidate Registration” link. They need to provide their JEE Main 2025 credentials for authentication.
- Next, enter the JEE Main 2025 application number, date of birth, maternal name, and the candidate’s name accurately.
- After submitting the information, verify the One-Time Password (OTP) dispatched to the email ID and phone number associated with the JEE Main 2025 registration.
- In the subsequent step, establish a new password for the JoSAA portal and proceed to log in.
Note that there is no registration fee for JoSAA 2025.
Logging into the JoSAA 2025 Candidate Portal
After the regustration is over, candidates are then redirected to the candidate portal for JoSAA counselling. To enter the JoSAA candidate login, candidates have to follow the steps below:
- In the login window enter the JEE Main 2025 application number and password created.
- After that, verify the OTP that is sent to the registered mobile number.
- Under the login, check the displayed information. Make sure all the inormation is correct like the JEE Main/Advanced ranks, gender, nationality, the location of your class 12 examination, and state of eligibility
- If all the details correct proceed to regustratoion. If the details are incorrect, thejn use the edit option to make changes.
After the JoSAA registration is successfull, candidates can then proceed to JoSAA choice filling process, where they enter the choice for colleges and courses in order of preference for admission.

JoSAA 2025 Login for Choice Filling & Locking
JoSAA choice filling means filling of preferences of course and colleges (preferences for IITs, NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs) that the candidate wants to be considered for admission. To select the courses and colleges candidates have to make sure that the use the previous year cutoff trends and get an estimate of which course and college that have the highest chances of getting into as per their JEE Main/JEE Advanced rank.
Candidates are displayed a wide range of course and collefe option inside the JoSAA portal. Candidates have to select the course and college combination and arrange them in order of pereference. While allocating the seat, the first perefence will be considered and if the rank of the candidate allows, then the firts pereference will be allotted, or else the second pereference will be considered. In this way, the seat allocation is done. Therefore, it cricial to fill the choices wisely, as JoSAA choice filling opens only once with the registration process.
The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) publishes cutoffs as opening and closing ranks after each round of seat allotment.
The opening rank is the raank at which admisison to a particuloar course and college starts in a JoSAA round. The closing rank indicates the last rank at which the admission in a JoSAA round closed for a college and course.
The JoSAA opening and closing rank will vary in all rounds based on based on various categories of the candidates.
Students who rank in JEE Main above 1 lakh are eligible for admission to NITs. But not possible in top institutions.
JoSAA Login 2025 for Seat Allotment Result
Candidates are allotted seats in each round of JoSAA according to the JoSAA 2025 choice filling they have done and their JEE Main/JEE Advanced AIR. A candidate who is allotted a seat must download the “Initial Seat Allotment Intimation Slip”, which has information regarding the Seat Allotment and steps to be followed for seat confirmation by the candidate. Candidates must accept the allocated seat and choose one of the following options like ‘Freeze’, ‘Slide’, or ‘Float' for their academic program in any subsequent rounds of JoSAA seat allocation.
JoSAA Login 2025 for Document Verification
In the JoSAA counselling 2025, registered candidates have to upload various documents to get verified for the JoSAA counselling process. The JoSAA document verification is held online as per the schedule and candidates will be required to upload documents under their JoSAA 2025 login at josaa.nic.in. Candidates have to upload various certificates in the format prescribed by the authorities.
It is the responsibility of the candidate to keep the valid certificate or document ready and upload the same at the time of application/registration. All the certificates/documents will be verified at the time of online reporting and thereafter physically, at the time of reporting at the admitting Institute.

- Candidates must have at least 75% aggregate marks in class 12 and SC, ST and PWD candidates must have atleast 65% marks.
- Candidates must be within the category wise top 25 percentile of successful candidates of their respective class 12 boards.

No, your candidature will be rejected as you need to have minimum of 75% in class 12 to be eligible for admisison to the IITs, NIT, IIITs and GFTIs via the JoSAA counselling. Even if you pass JEE Advanced and JEE Main, of you do not have 75% minimum marks in class 12 boards you will no get admission

The JEE Advanced JoSAA counselling dates will be made available on the official website of JoSAA - josaa.nic.in. Usually, the JoSAA counselling registration starts a day after the JEE Advanced result is anniunced. Complete schedule will be available on the official website.

No, one does not have to apply separately at IIT Madras website after JoSAA counselling.
