West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board (WBJEEB) on October 18 had released the application form for WBJEE 2020. All candidates aspiring for the WBJEE have to complete their registration process on the official website, http://www.wbjeeb.in/.

WBJEE application form 2020 - Important details

These are the following details that candidate must keep in mind before filling the WBJEE application form 2020:

  • There are certain documents needed while filling WBJEE Application Form 2020 and candidates are asked to keep the following documents ready such as
    • Category Certificate
    • Domicile Certificate
    • Annual Family Income proof
    • Scholarship certificate issues from TWF (if applicable)
    • JEE Main 2020 application number if appeared for the exam
    • Class 10th mark sheet
    • Class 12th mark sheet
    • Passing certificate
    • Debit/Credit card details for fee payment
  • Candidates will be required to enter their valid email id, mobile number and password on the first login.
  • Candidates will be able to correct their application form through the WBJEE application form correction Window Facility on the official website of the board.

Steps to fill WBJEE 2020 Application Form

Candidates interested in seeking admission to colleges through WBJEE 2020 are advised to go through the guidelines to fill application form (given at the end of steps to fill the form) before commencing with the form filling process. Have a look at the steps below:

Step 1: Apply for WBJEE registration

  • Candidate applying for WBJEE 2020 exam, will have to register themselves on the official website first.
  • To fill the registration form, candidates will require their valid email ID and register as a new user by furnishing details like their name, date of birth and mobile number.
  • After the registration is successfully done, an OTP will be sent to the candidate's registered mobile number.
  • They will have to verify the same to complete the WBJEE registration process.

Step 2: Fill WBJEE application form

  • Candidates can fill and submit the online application form for WBJEE 2020 on the official website.
  • Candidates are advised to read the instructions carefully before filling the WBJEE application form.
  • After candidates have filled and submitted the application form, a unique seven-digit WBJEE application number will be automatically generated.
  • This unique seven-digit WBJEE number is to be carefully preserved as proof of successful registration.
  • The WBJEE application form is divided into two sections:
  • Personal details: Enter details such as name, date of birth, father's name, category, gender, nationality, email ID, phone number and academic qualifications.
  • Fee payment: Make the payment of WBJEE application fee using the available payment modes.

Step 3: Upload the photograph and signature

After filling the WBJEE application form, candidates will be required to upload the scanned copies of their recent passport-size photograph, specimen signature and left-thumb impression as per the given specifications.

Step 4: Pay WBJEE application fee

  • The WBJEE application fee for General category is Rs 700
  • The WBJEE application fee for SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B is Rs 500
  • The application fee is to be paid through debit/credit card or net banking
  • An online receipt is automatically generated after the successful payment of the application fee

Note: Please note that this receipt is to be preserved carefully. This will be required as proof that a candidate has successfully made the payment of the WBJEE application fee and have registered to appear for the joint entrance exam. It will be needed at the time of the WBJEE counselling process and admissions.

Step 5: Download the confirmation page

Candidates are advised to take the printout of a confirmation page that will be generated after the final submission of the WBJEE 2020 application form. It is for future reference.

WBJEE 2020 Application Form Correction

Candidates will also get a chance to correct the WBJEE 2020 application form. WBJEE application form 2020 correction window facility will be available online on the official website. Candidates can correct forms on the official website of the board. Candidates will be able to change/edit/update the particulars in the WBJEE application form filled earlier.

Once the WBJEE application 2020 submission process ends, the exam authorities at WB Board scrutinise the received applications. Candidates will be notified regarding the errors or mistakes in their WBJEE application form. WBJEEB will send an official notification to the applicants who made mistake(s) while filling the application form.

Steps to correct the WBJEE application form

  • Visit the official website of WBJEEB
  • Navigate to the "WBJEE 2020 candidate login" tab
  • Enter your WBJEE application number, password, security pin
  • Hit the "Login" button
  • Correct the mistake(s) in WBJEE application form
  • Finally, submit the form

If you belong to the OBC, SC, ST, EWS or PWD HS category, then yes, you can get a seat at KGEC with a rank of 600 in the WBJEE entrance examination.
