The Consortium of NLUs will conduct the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2027 for undergraduate and postgraduate courses. Candidates looking forward to getting admission to NLUs in the country must appear for CLAT Exam 2027The Consortium has not announced the CLAT 2027 Exam Date yet. The Consortium will publish the CLAT Exam Schedule in a CLAT Notification 2027.

Candidates must note that the official CLAT Notification will be published on consortiumofnlus.ac.in. Candidates aspiring for admission to 5-year LLB and 1-year LLM programmes at National Law Universities (NLUs) should keep track of the official notification. It is expected that the CLAT Exam will be conducted on December 6, 2026. As per the CLAT Exam Pattern, it will be conducted in offline, pen-and-paper mode. Q:   What is CLAT Exam Pattern?

The CLAT exam for both the undergraduate and postgraduate courses will be conducted for 2-hour; i.e. 2 pm to 4 pm. Candidates must note that the exam will be conducted in offline mode. There will be 120 MCQs. Total number of sections in the question paper will be five.

What is CLAT 2027?

The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) is a national level law entrance exam conducted for admission to 25 NLUs across the country. Candidates must note that for admission to NLU Delhi, they have to appear for AILET 2027.

Except NLU Delhi, admission to all NLUs are done based on the CLAT Score 2027. All admissions to the 5-year integrated L.L.B. and LL.M. programs at NLUs will also be through the CLAT Exam.

What is the CLAT 2027 Eligibility Criteria?

Candidates who wish to appear for the CLAT Exam must understand the CLAT Eligibility Criteria. It must be noted for both UG and CLAT PG, the eligibility criteria are different.

For CLAT UG 2027

The parameters that candidates must meet to fulfill the CLAT eligibility criteria for undergraduate (UG) law courses are listed below. Candidates must ensure that they meet the required CLAT UG 2027 Eligibility Criteria:

  • Candidates should clear Class 12 with a minimum 45 per cent aggregate (applicable for candidates belonging to General/ Other Backward Class (OBC)/ Person with Disability (PwD)/ Non-Resident Indian (NRI)/ Person of Indian Origin (PIO)/ Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) category)
  • Candidates should clear Class 12 with a minimum 40 per cent aggregate (applicable for candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC)/ Scheduled Tribe (ST) category)
  • Candidates appearing for their Class 12 board examinations in March/April are also eligible to apply for CLAT 2027 exam. However, such candidates need to produce proof of passing Class 12 or equivalent exam at the time of admission. Candidates unable to produce the evidence shall forfeit their right of admission through CLAT exam

CLAT 2027 Registration Dates

The Consortium will publish the CLAT Application Form 2027 on consortiumofnlus.ac.in. Candidates must complete the registration process for CLAT Exam on or before the last date. The Consortium will publish the CLAT Registration Dates 2027 in the official notification. Candidates must note that the registration process for CLAT PG 2027 will also start on the same day.

How to register for CLAT 2027?

Candidates can follow the simple steps given below to apply for the CLAT Exam:

  • Go to consortiumofnlus.ac.in
  • Register using your mobile number and email ID
  • Fill in academic and personal details
  • Upload a photograph and a signature
  • Pay the CLAT application fee online

CLAT 2027 Admit Card Date

The CLAT 2027 admit card will be released online in November 2026. Candidates must download it using their login credentials. Candidates must note that the Consortium will publish the CLAT Hall Ticket at least 15 days before the exam. Candidates must download the hall ticket, without which they won't be allowed entry on the CLAT exam day.

CLAT 2027 Answer Key Dates

Candidates must note that the CLAT Answer Key will be published either on the same day the exam was conducted or next day. Candidates must note that the CLAT Answer Key will be released in two phases: provisional and final answer key.

Candidates can download the CLAT answer 2027 key in the following way:

  • Click on CLAT answer key link present on the official website.
  • View, download and save the answer key and question paper PDF.
  • Link to download CLAT answer key will be provided here

How to raise objection on CLAT Answer Key?

Candidates will be able to challenge the CLAT Provisional Answer Key 2027. After cross-checking the objections, the CLAT Final answer key will be published.

  • Visit the consortiumofnlus.ac.in.
  • Login using your registered mobile number and password.
  • Click on the Submit Objections button.
  • Select the type of objection (1) About the question or (2) About the answer key.
  • Enter objection details.
  • Click on submit button.
  • Click on the Make Payment button to make a payment of INR 1,000 per question.

CLAT 2027 Result Date

The Consortium is likely to announce the CLAT Final Answer Key and CLAT Scorecard together. Candidates will be able to download the scorecard from the official portal. The CLAT Result Date 2027 is likely to be December 12, 2026. The steps to download the scorecard are described below

  • Visit consortiumofnlus.ac.in
  • Login using the Registration Number and Password 
  • Under Result tab, click on the View Score Card tab.
  • Your result/ scorecard will be displayed on the screen
  • Download and take a printout of result PDF to refer it at the time of counselling registration, and seat allotment process.

CLAT 2027 Counselling Dates

Along with the CLAT Result, the Consortium will also announce the CLAT Counselling Dates 2027. Candidates must note that the CLAT Counselling will be conducted online only. Candidates will first receive the invite from the consortium. The Consortium after finishing the CLAT Registration 2027 will begin releasing the merit list. 

How to Check CLAT 2027 Counselling and Seat Allotment Result?

Candidates can follow the steps mentioned below to check the CLAT seat allotment result:

  • Visit consortiumofnlus.ac.in
  • Enter mobile number & password.
  • Click on Login.
  • Check the seat allotment result.

Note: There are 3, 213 seats for UG courses, 1,217 seats for PG. Those who will qualify CLAT 2027 will be shortlisted for admission rounds after they complete counseling registration and eligibility-related documentation. 

CLAT 2027 First Merit List Date

The Consortium will release the complete CLAT Counselling Schedule, including the number of rounds in which the admission will be conducted. CLAT First Merit List 2027 is likely to be released in the third week of December.

Candidates can check the NLU-wise CLAT merit list by following the process below-

No, CLAT is not compulsory to take admission in Ishaan Institute of Law. The institute offers admission into the courses such as LLB, BA LLB and LLM based on the merit achieved by the candidates in their last qualifying exam. Application process is compulsory and it can be conducted online/offline.
