IRMASAT 2023 Personal Interview will likely begin in the third week of February 2023. Candidates will have the option to select their time slot and city while filling the IRMASAT application form 2023. IRMA doesn’t conduct any counselling process. Admissions are done on the basis of CAT/XAT/GMAT/GRE scores, IRMASAT scores, performance in Personal Interviews, academic history and work profile. After the IRMASAT 2023 exam and Personal Interview (PI) are conducted, the final merit list of candidates selected for admission is released (tentatively in the month of March). Selected students will then have to submit the initial admission fee to confirm their admission. This year, IRMASAT PI will be conducted online as well as offline. The weightage of the online interview will be 35% of the selection process.

IRMASAT 2023 Selection Process

The IRMASAT 2023 selection process includes two steps; i.e. Written Ability Test and Personal Interview. Read below to know more about the two:

Written Ability Test (WAT): The shortlisted candidates will be required to appear for the WAT round. Candidates will be assigned a topic on the spot to write on in about 200-300 words. It will be a paper-based test for 30 minutes. After they have written about the topic, candidates will be required to upload a scanned copy of the test using their login credentials, i.e. User ID and Password. The WAT round is designed to evaluate the candidates' rural aptitude as well as written communication skills.

Personal Interview (PI): A Personal Interview is conducted to test the candidate’s knowledge and understanding of rural issues of the country and find out if they have the aptitude to fulfill the roles and responsibilities of a management professional operating in cooperatives, NGOs and development organisations. A Personal Interview is a more personalized round in which the candidates get to interact face to face with the selectors. They are judged on their communication skills, aptitude for the rural management field and suitability for the programme.

The final selection of candidates for 240 seats in PGDRM is based on their performance in CAT 2023/XAT 2023, IRMASAT, Personal Interview, Academic Performance and Diversity. Each of these parameters has been allotted a particular weightage.

The Personal Interview will be conducted online as well as offline. Candidates who opt for the offline mode for PI can choose the two preferred cities while filling the IRMASAT 2023 application form. The offline PI round will be conducted in five cities, i.e. Anand, Bangalore, Delhi, Guwahati and Kolkata.

Note: For foreign candidates, the Personal Interview is done telephonically.
