NEET PG 2021 Mop-up Round Cut off
Federation of Resident Doctors’ Association (FORDA) has also written to Union Health Minister, urging him to consider the request to decrease the cut off for mop-up round NEET PG 2021 counselling. FORDA has contended that almost every year cutoff is revised to accommodate maximum candidates in All India Quota seats for admission to MD, MS and PG Diploma courses. The association said as the counselling has already delayed this year due to COVID-19, if mop-up cut off will not be revised, many of the candidates may not get admission which will lead to reduce workforce in healthcare.

Reducation of cut off makes more number of candidates eligible to participate in the counselling who were earlier ineligible due to low score. Last year, NBE reduced cut off twice. For 2023-24 session, NBE had reduced cut off to zero for all category. For 2022-23 session, the cut off was reduced by 25 percentile for each category.

For the general category, the minimum qualifying cut off is 50 percentile marks while for SC/ST, the qualifying cut off is 40. “It is pertinent to mention that the cut-off percentile for being eligible to appear in NEET-PG counseling is reduced every year before the final round to allowed maximum participation of candidates to avoid wastage of precious seats in healthcare institutions. For the current year, in the Mop up (Final) Round, more than 6000 seats are still lying vacant…Under the above-mentioned circumstances, we would hereby request you to kindly take note of the issue and to take necessary measures for avoiding wastage of several Board-speciality seats,” FORDA said.
NEET PG 2021 Mop-up Round Counselling
The Medical Counselling Committee will release cut off for mop round before seat allotment. Registration for mop-up round counselling is going on and candidates will be able to register and exercise choice for mop-up round counselling till March 12. The mop up round will be followed by stray vacancy round where no fresh registration will be accepted and candidates will be allocated seats on the basis of vacant seats to be filled.

The National Board of Examinations (NBE) releases the list of centres for NEET PG. Candidates have to choose a preference of the exam centre while applying online for the exam. Yes. MCC has announce round-3 NEET PG 2025 counselling dates and schedule will be announced only after reduction of NEET PG 2025 cutoff percentile. MCC may reduce cutoff by 10 to 15 percentile. Students will have to register and declare choice of college and course for round-3 seat allotment.
