National Testing Agency (NTA) opens NEET UG 2026 registration process for admissions to Medical/ Dental/ Ayurveda/ Siddha/ Unani/ Homoeopathy Colleges in the academic year 2026-27. The NEET registration 2026 link was activated on February 8, 2026. The last date to fill the online form is March 8, 2026. Eligible candidates can submit their forms now by visiting the official website- neet.nta.nic.in. To fill the form, candidates need to register for the exam, fill the form, upload the live photo and documents and pay the form fee. The NEET UG 2026 will be conducted on May 3, 2026, for admission to MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BUMS, BSMS, and BHMS Courses. Only registered candidates will be able to appear for the exam. Changes Introduced in NEET 2026 Application Process
The NTA released the NEET 2026 notification on February 8, 2026 along with the information bulletin. As per the bulletin, there are some changes in the application process. Have a look at the changes introduced in the application process below-
Live Photo Capture
Candidates now need to capture their live photo on the NEET form. The live photo should be uploaded in a light-coloured background. The NTA will match the live photo uploaded by candidates with their Aadhaar database. In case of discrepancy, candidates need to verify their identity by uploading a signed and attested certificate with a recent photograph duly certified by their School or College Principal or Headmaster.
Stronger Identity Verification through Aadhaar
The NTA is asking candidates to register for the exam through their Aadhaar. Candidate’s identity will be verified through Aadhaar authentication. Moreover, those registering for the exam using ID proof other than the Aadhaar Card need to submit additional documents to verify their identity. To avoid this, candidates can opt for Aadhaar-enabled applications. Candidates need to make sure that their Aadhaar is valid and duly updated.
Selection of Exam Cities Based on Present & Permanent Address
The NEET exam centre 2026 will be spread across 566 cities. Candidates need to select three exam cities based on the address details mentioned by them in the application form. Moreover, the NEET question paper medium will be available as per their respective state. Candidates must choose the exam city based on the question paper language they want to opt for.

How to Apply Online for NEET 2026?
Candidates can fill out the NEET application form 2026 using the detailed process shared below-
- Visit the NEET 2026 official website- neet.nta.nic.in.

The NEET registration last date was extended March 11, 2026. The NEET UG 2026 registration started on February 8, 2026. Candidates needed to submit their forms timely as no further extension was provided.
The NTA announced the NEET application correction dates 2026. The NEET correction window was available from March 12 to 14, 2026. Candidates could make changes by logging in with the required details.
The NEET exam centre can only be changed during the application correction window. Common Services Centres for Submitting NEET Online Application Form 2026
Candidates who are not familiar with using computer or laptop or who are not acquainted with online application process can visit the nearest Common Services Centres (CSC) of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology. There are 1.5 lakh CSC centres across India which are managed at each village panchayat level by a Village Level Entrepreneur (VLE).
These centres provide the required support to NEET aspirants to fill the form and pay the application fee.
