Months of Hard Work Lost

After the exam cancellation report, many students said they had given entire year for NEET preparation. They sacrificed festivals, family functions, vacations, and social media just to focus on studies. Additionally, they have followed a strict daily routine, attended online / offline coaching for hours, solving papers, taking mock tests frequently. Many students had made NEET preparation a part of their lives. Students also added that their hard work has gone to waste. They were waiting for the OMR Sheet and answer key when this news arrived.

One of students shared online:

" We have given our day and night for exam. Now we have to face same pressure again".

Another student said:

"It is easy for people to ' just prepare again', but mentally it is very difficult.

Students Feeling Mentally Tired

NEET is not just another exam. It is national level exam where lakhs of students compete for limited MBBS seats. This pressure forces students to study for long hours every day. During the entire preparation process, aspirants feel stress about cutoff, marks, and rank. The news of NEET cancellation has given mental stress to the students.

Droppers who have been preparing for the NEET for the second or third time are especially worried. Everyone is worried of same pressure and this time it might be double because Re-NEET will be conducted in short span of time approx. within 45 days.

Social Media Filled with Angry Reactions

Soon after the NEET exam cancellation, social media was flooded with #NEET cancellation and #NEET re-exam. Students shared their disappointment through memes, long messages, and emotional videos. The most common complaint among all aspirants is that honest students are suffering because of all these scenarios.

One question that every student has is, "Why should hardworking students suffer for something they never did?"

Fear About Future and Admission

Stress is not only worrying aspirants; delayed admission is also a big concern. Admission to MBBS, BDS, AYUSH, and other medical courses is based on NEET. The re-exam will delay in counselling and admission process. This might affect the entire academic year. Class 12 students are under more pressure because of their board results and RE-NEET.
