CBSE Class 12 Result 2026: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is expected to release the CBSE 12th result 2026 in the second week of May 2026. The CBSE Class 12 result 2026 will be released on Board's website- results.cbse.nic.in. Students can check their CBSE 12th result 2026 using the roll number, admit card ID, and school number as mentioned on the admit card. The Board had announced that it will start the evaluation of answer sheets for Class 10 and Class 12 board examinations within 10 days of the last exam date.

Students can also check the CBSE Class 12 Result 2026 via DigiLocker, SMS and UMANG App. CBSE 12th exams 2026 will be conducted between February 17 and April 9, 2026.

 The CBSE result 2026 for Class 12 is released together for all streams- Science, Commerce and Arts. The CBSE Class 12 Result 2026 includes the student's name, roll number, date of birth, marks obtained in all subjects, grades, etc. Students must note that the CBSE Results 2026 released online is provisional. They will be required to collect the original mark sheet from their schools. 

A student must secure an overall 33% (both internal assessment and Class 12th Board examination taken together) in all the subjects to pass in Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Result 2026.

  • The CBSE Class 12th Result 2026 can also be checked through Interactive Voice Response System (IVRS).
  • The call would be charged at 30 paisa/minute for a single roll number.

How to get CBSE 12th Result 2026 Through Digilocker?

Students can also download their CBSE class 12 result 2026 in the form of digital marksheets via DigiLocker. Their DigiLocker account details are sent via SMS on the registered mobile number with CBSE. Students will have to visit the official website of DigiLocker and register themselves, Subsequently, they must follow the steps mentioned below to obtain the Result of 12th Class 2026 CBSE:

  1. Log in using the Username and Password to the App
  2. Go to ‘Profile’ and sync the Aadhaar number, if the same hasn’t been done while signing up

  2. The Mark sheet/ Certificate for CBSE Result 2026 Class 12 will be downloaded. Students can save the document in DigiLocker account by clicking on the ‘Save to locker’ button. 

An extra layer of security is added for downloading marksheets from DigiLocker.

To get the marksheets from DigiLocker, students can visit the website — cbseservices.digilocker.gov.in/activatecbse for initiation of their account confirmation process. Students must note that they will need a PIN to download their marksheet from the app. How do you get it? To strengthen the security and privacy of the students' data, the PIN has been introduced.

To confirm the DigiLocker account, students will first have to select their class first either class 10 or 12 and then enter their school code, and roll number. Further, they access the six-digit security PIN from their schools. The PIN will be provided by their school, if not received, students will have to contact their school. The PIN will be a numeric value. Example: If PIN given by school is ‘012345’, students will have to enter only 012345.

CBSE 12th Result 2026: Grading System & Passing Marks

Students are considered to have cleared the CBSE board exams if they fulfil the criteria mentioned below:

  • Should secure a grade higher than ‘E’ (that is, at least 33% marks) in all five subjects of external exams in the main (or compartmental exams)
  • For practical work-related subjects, candidates should secure 33% marks in theory and 33% marks in practical. Apart from this, aspirants should have secured at least 33% marks in aggregate

The Board would give students a pass certificate if they get a grade above 'E' in all subjects of internal assessment (unless he/she is exempted).

The marks in the five main subjects are to be added and divided by 5. For example, the marks of the five main subjects are mentioned below:

CBSE Class 12 Result 2026: Verification, Re-evaluation of Answer sheets

The Board releases the CBSE 12th rechecking/revaluation result 2026 on the official website. Students can check their result using roll number, admit card ID and school number.

After obtaining copy of their answer sheet, students will be able to apply for verification or revaluation of CBSE 12th result 2026 or both between last week of May and June first week, 2026, tentatively. The fees for verification of CBSE 12th is INR 500 per answer book, and the fees for revaluation are INR 100 per question.

Students are required to fill out the application form for the photocopy, verification of the marks, revaluation or both online on the official website before the last date. The board re-checks the answer sheets for totaling errors, missing marks, or unchecked/ unmarked questions.

CBSE 12th Result 2026 Statistical Analysis

CBSE will release the CBSE 12th result 2026 statistics along with the result in May 2026. The Board will not release the CBSE Class 12 toppers list 2026 to avoid unhealthy competition.Students can check the CBSE result statistics of the 2025 below:

  • Overall pass percentage for CBSE 12th result 2025 was 88.39%
  • A total of 17,04,367 students registered for the exam. Out of these, 16,92,794 students appeared, and 14,96,307 students passed the CBSE 12th exam.
  • In 2025, girls outperformed boys, recording a pass percentage of 91.64%, slightly up from 91.52% in 2024. Boys registered a 85.70 pass percentage. Overall, girls performed better than boys by a margin of 5.94%. The transgender category achieved a 100% pass percentage this year, a significant jump from 50% in 2024.
  • Overall, 308105 students from the Delhi region of CBSE Board registered for the Class 12 board exam 2025, of which 306733 students appeared and 291962 passed. The pass percentage was 95.18 per cent.
  • A total of 21825 students from Foreign schools registered for the CBSE 12th board exam 2025 and 21782 of them appeared for the exams. A total of 20694 students from foreign schools cleared the CBSE 12th 2025 exam, taking the pass percentage to 95.01 per cent.
