NIOS Board Exams 2025 Class 10, 12: Date Sheet, Syllabus, Sample Papers, Result

The National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) was established to cater to the needs of a mixed group of learners up to pre-degree level. The Open School was started in 1979 as a project with in-built flexibilities by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). It was established by the Government of India, Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) in 1989. NIOS provides Secondary, Senior Secondary and Vocational courses through open and distance learning(ODL) mode. In addition, it also provided Open Basic Education and Elementary Teacher Education Programme.

NIOS provides education through Open and Distance Learning (ODL) mode via incorporation of self-instructional print material, audio and video programmes supported by Personal Contact Programme (PCP) at the Accredited Institutions. Students can register for NIOS online admission 2024-25 via the official website - nios.ac.in by filling the NIOS admission form. The National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) conducts NIOS board exams for Class 10th and 12th twice a year, in March-April and October/November. NIOS examinations are conducted in April for Block-I and in October for Block-II.

The National Institute of Open Schooling released the NIOS exam date for class 10, 12 exams on the official website. The NIOS exam date sheet for the Oct/Nov 2025 was out in September 2025. NIOS 10th and 12th exam 2025 session II is being held from October 14 to Dec 2, 2025.

The National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) released the schedule for the NIOS 10th and 12th registration process and payment of exam fee for April/May 2025 public exams. For learners enrolled in stream I, Block I, and for eligible learners for exams prior to Oct-Nov 2025 exams, could register from November 21 to December 20, 2025 without late fee. They can register with a late fee of INR 100 per subject from December 21 to December 31, 2025. With a consolidated late fee of INR 1500 per learner, the registration can be done from January 1 to January 10, 2026.

The NIOS admission for class 12th and 10th is conducted twice in a year. The first session is for April - Block 1 and the second is for October - Block 2. The last date for Online Admission of Stream-2 for Academic session 2025-26 was 31st July, 2025. The last date for NIOS 10th and 12th admission was January 31, 2025 without any late fee, for the October session. They should check the admission notification for the NIOS admission last date. NIOS Registration Dates For Oct/Nov 2025 Exam

Students can check official website for NIOS 12th and NIOS 10th application form. The schedule for registration for secondary and Senior Secondary for Oct/Nov 2025 is as follows.

Students have to submit the scanned copy of documents like marksheet of class 8 (for admission in class 10), marksheet of class 10 (for admission in class 12), adhaar card, signature, etc. They should note down the enrollment number. They are advised to take a printout of NIOS 12th application form.

NIOS On Demand 2025 exam for Class 10 will be held in June 2025. ODE registration and fee submission for the same will be available on NIOS website from May 2025.

Students have to read the NIOS syllabus and NIOS subjects properly. Knowledge of the NIOS syllabus helps to make a proper plan for the NIOS exam. NIOS 12th syllabus is divided into six A, B, C, D, E, and F. The NIOS 10th syllabus is divided into two groups A and B. Students can download the NIOS syllabus 2025 from the official website. 

NIOS releases the NIOS Exam Pattern 2025 for Class 10 and 12 on the official website. NIOS Class 10 exam pattern mentions the marking scheme, time duration, types of questions asked in the exams, etc. Class 12 students should understand the NIOS 12th exam pattern and prepare accordingly.

The National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) will start with the Block-I admission cycle for Class 12th and 10th. Students should fill the NIOS 12th application form.
