GATE 2025 Defect Rectification for Provisional Candidates Close on March 15

The Indian Institute of Roorkee (IIT Roorkee) will close the GATE 2025 defect rectification facility for provisional candidates TODAY (March 15). Provisional applicants are advised to log into the GATE GOAPS portal to clear all the marked-as-defect information to avoid their GATE 2025 result being withheld. 

IIT Roorkee has officially announced that the GATE 2025 results will be declared on March 19, 2025. The GATE 2025 exam was conducted on Feb 1, 2, 15, and 16, 2025, for 30 test papers. Candidates who appeared for the exam can access their GATE 2025 EE, CS, EC, ME, CE, and DA results through the GATE Online Application Processing System (GOAPS) portal at gate2025.iitr.ac.in. 

Candidates must log in using their enrollment ID and password to check their results. Following the result declaration, the GATE scorecards will be available for download from March 28, 2025, to May 31, 2025 (for free). After that, candidates can download their GATE 2025 scorecard by paying a fee of INR 500 per paper till December 31, 2025.

This facility allows provisional candidates to correct errors or update missing information to ensure their eligibility and the release of their results. The rectification window is open until today, March 15, 2025

Consequences of Missing the GATE Rectification Deadline

Provisional candidates who fail to rectify application defects by the March 15 deadline risk having their GATE 2025 results withheld. This means their scores will not be released, potentially affecting their admission prospects to postgraduate programs and eligibility for recruitment in public sector undertakings. Provisional candidates must log in to the GOAPS portal promptly and address any issues identified in their applications.

• Log in using the GATE GOAPS enrollment ID and password.
• Review the application status and make necessary corrections
• Submit the GATE application form.
