GATE Exam and Shift Timings: Candidates appearing for GATE exam must be aware of the exam and shift timings. The GATE exam dates will usually be in February every year. The GATE exam will be conducted in multiple shifts. The exam will be conducted in a two-shift format of 3 hours each- forenoon and afternoon shifts. The forenoon shift timings are 09:30 AM to 12:30 PM, while the afternoon shift timings are 02:30 PM to 05:30 PM. Candidates must reach the exam centre as per the reporting time.
