GATE 2025 Exam Concludes Today: Check Guidelines, Exam Paper Codes and Timings

The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering- GATE 2025 has reached its final stage, with the last examination session is today, February 16, 2025. Conducted by the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee, this marks the conclusion of the highly competitive national-level exam that began on February 1, 2025. Read below for more.
GATE 2025 Feb 16 Exam Schedule and Timings
Today's examinations are scheduled in two sessions:
Forenoon Session (9:30 AM to 12:30 PM IST)
- Civil Engineering 1 (CE1)
- Geology and Geophysics (GG)
- Chemical Engineering (CH)
- Physics (PH)
- Biotechnology (BT)
Afternoon Session (2:30 PM to 5:30 PM IST)
- Civil Engineering 2 (CE2)
- Statistics (ST)
- Engineering Sciences (XE)
- Life Sciences (XL)
- Mining Engineering (MN)
Candidates are advised to arrive at their examination centres well in advance. A hard copy of the GATE 2025 admit card and a valid photo ID (Aadhaar card, voter ID, passport, etc.) are mandatory for entry. Electronic gadgets, including mobile phones, smartwatches, and calculators, are strictly prohibited. A scribble pad for rough work will be provided and must be returned after the exam.
This final schedule of GATE 2025 also includes an important update: Due to the ongoing Mahakumbh, IIT Roorkee shifted examination centres from Prayagraj to Lucknow for candidates appearing on February 15 and 16. Affected candidates must download updated admit cards from the GATE Online Application Processing System (GOAPS) portal.
With this last session, GATE 2025 officially comes to an end. The GATE 2025 results will be declared on March 19, 2025. Qualified candidates will be eligible for postgraduate admissions to top institutions and recruitment opportunities in public sector undertakings (PSUs).

The exam authority will calculate the GATE score by considering the raw marks secured by candidates in the GATE 2025 result. The raw marks, or actual marks, will be allotted to the candidates after evaluating the answers. The GATE score for the multi-session exam will be calculated by converting the raw marks into the normalised marks for that particular subject. The raw marks will be used for calculating the GATE score based on the qualifying marks. The scorecard will be available to qualified candidates only. Candidates should keep the soft copy of the GATE scorecard safe for future use. To check the GATE 2025 result, candidates need their enrollment ID/email ID, and password.
