GATE 2025: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee will be closing the GATE registration window with a late fee on October 11, 2025. Candidates who missed the earlier deadline can fill up the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering 2025 registration form online at the official website: gate2025.iitr.ac.in.

The official GATE 2025 website states, "Due to several  requests from applicants, closing date of extended online registration/ application process (with late fee) is further extended upto 11:59, 11th October 2024 (Friday)."

The GATE 2025 exam is scheduled for February 1, 2, 15, and 16, 2025. It will be held in two sessions each day: forenoon and afternoon. This year, there will be 30 test papers available, all in English, and they will include objective-type questions.

GATE 2025 Application Fee Payment Guidelines

Before submitting the application fee for GATE 2025, candidates should ensure they have a stable internet connection. If they experience connectivity issues or glitches, candidates are advised to check the transaction status through their bank account and log in again later to verify the payment status for their GATE application form. For any issues related to payment failures, candidates can contact the helpdesk at 8037097019 or send an email to iitrgate@ccavenuehelpdesk.zendesk.com.

Once the payment is confirmed, they can download the GATE 2025 application form. If the payment is not received, they will need to initiate a new payment. In cases where the amount has been deducted from the bank account but no payment acknowledgement has been received, the funds will be refunded to the original account within 15 days.

The late GATE 2025 application fee is INR 1400 for Female/SC/ST/PwD and foreign nationals need to pay INR 2300. Candidates can pay the GATE application fees through various methods, including net banking, credit cards, debit cards, and UPI. Additionally, payments can be made using international Visa and MasterCard.

Here are some major documents that will be required for GATE 2026 registration process -

  • Recent passport-sized photographs
  • Scanned signature (as per the specifications)
  • Updated valid ID, such as Aadhar card, PAN Card, Driving License, voter ID, etc.
  • Category certificate (if applicable).

Step 3: Complete GATE registration by entering all the specified details

Step 4: Login with Enrollment ID / Email Address and Password

Step 5: Fill up the personal information, papers, address, exam centre and qualification

Step 6: Upload the scanned images and pay the fee by following the guidelines provided above

Step 7: Submit the GATE 2025 form and take a printout of it for future references
