IIT Gandhinagar Admission 2025: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Gandhinagar has opened registrations for its early MTech programme, that is set to begin in July 2025. Admission to the early admit MTech programme does not require GATE 2025 scores. Interested candidates can access the early admit MTech programme application form on the official website: iitgn.ac.in.

The last date to complete IIT Gandhinagar's early MTech registration is March 26, 2025, by 5 pm. As per the announced schedule, the list of shortlisted candidates for the early MTech programme will be released between April 6 to 8, 2025. According to the official brochure, they can complete their 8th semester of BTech at IIT Gandhinagar as visiting students before officially enrolling in the MTech programme.

Who are eligible for IIT Gandhinagar Early Admit MTech Programme?

As per the eligibility criteria, the final-year BTech (or equivalent) students from NITs with a minimum CPI/CGPA of 8.0 (General/EWS/OBC) or 7.5 (SC/ST/PwD) by the end of the 3rd year. Alternatively, top 5 (General/EWS/OBC) or top 10 (SC/ST/PwD) rank holders at the pre-final year are also eligible.

Final-year BTech (or equivalent) students from select colleges who rank among the top 5 (General/EWS/OBC) or top 10 (SC/ST/PwD) in their department at the pre-final year. Or Final-year BTech (or equivalent) students from IITs with a minimum CPI/CGPA of 6.0 by the end of the 3rd year.

IIT Gandhinagar Early Admit MTech Programme Application Process

All early admit MTech applications must be submitted online. Upon submission, candidates will be redirected to the portal's homepage, where they can download their IITGN early admit MTech application form. Additionally, a confirmation email will be sent with application details and a link to download the form.

Candidates must provide a hard copy of the IITGN early admit MTech application form along with supporting documents, including testimonials, certificates, publications, and proof of work/research experience, at the time of the interview. Incomplete applications will not be considered.

While applying online, candidates must upload a rank certificate issued by the Head of their Department. There is no application fee, and candidates do not need to send a hard copy of the application form.

IIT Gandhinagar Early Admit MTech Programme Fellowship

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Gandhinagar provides a monthly fellowship of INR 15,400 for candidates with a valid GATE score and INR 6,000 for those without one. Additionally, selected students are eligible for travel support of up to INR 60,000 to attend international conferences.

Admission to IITGN MTech programme is primarily based on an interview, with a written test conducted if required. The final selection is determined by academic credentials, performance in the written test (if applicable), and the interview. Candidates from reserved categories will receive the relaxation in cutoff marks as per government norms.
