If a candidate opting for float is assigned a seat in a subsequent round, the prior allocation is forfeited.

Exit Option: In case a candidate decides to discontinue participation in the counseling process, they may choose the exit option. By selecting this alternative, the candidate withdraws from the counseling process, and their name will not be considered for subsequent counseling rounds.

To view the CLAT second allotment list for 2025, candidates can take the easy steps listed below:

• Go to the initial allocation list for CLAT 2025.
• Enter your login information to log in.
• On your screen will appear the initial allocation list for CLAT 2025 counselling.

Following the CLAT seat allotment, candidates are required to fulfill the NLU admission process to secure their admission. While the process may slightly differ among various NLUs, it generally encompasses the following steps:

1. Payment of Admission Fee: Candidates receiving seats in NLUs must remit the admission fee to confirm their admission. The fee amount and payment mode can vary among NLUs.

The CLAT 2025 counselling process comprises three rounds of seat allotment, as per the revised schedule released by the Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs).

Each NLU follows its own reservation criteria, which includes:

Scheduled Castes (SC): 15 per cent

Scheduled Tribes (ST): 7.5 per cent

Other Backward Classes (OBC): Varies by state and institution

Economically Weaker Sections (EWS): Up to 10 per cent

State Domicile Reservations: Percentage varies by NLU

Horizontal Reservations: For categories like Persons with Disabilities (PwD), Women, etc.

If an applicant wishes to opt out of the counselling process, they can choose the Exit option. Once a candidate chooses the exit option, they will not be assigned a seat. The designated seat will be reassigned in the event that the candidate decides to leave after selecting the freeze or float option. In addition, the confirmation fee would be lost.

If a candidate's first preference among NLUs has not been granted, they may select the float option. By selecting this option, they can keep the seats they have been allotted and still have a chance of getting into their desired NLU. Candidates must additionally pay the confirmation fee in advance of the deadline.

A candidate may choose to "freeze" their seat assignment for CLAT counselling in 2025 if they are happy with it. There will be no more therapy sessions offered to these applicants. In addition, they must pay the remaining tuition costs and the confirmation fee.
