Overview

The MH CET 5-year LLB result 2026 shortly on cetcell.mahacet.org. Candidates must note that once the MH CET 5-year LLB Result is announced, the CET Cell will begin the CAP Counselling for 5-year courses. The MH CET 3-year LLB Counselling CAP Registration 2026 is ongoing. Candidates must complete the 3-year LLB CAP registration on or before June 30, 2026. MH CET Law Counselling 2026

MH CET Law 2026 CAP comprises candidates' registration, document verification, choice-locking, seat allocation, and admission confirmation. The MHCET law 2026 counselling process can be checked below

  • MH CET Law CAP Counselling Registration: Candidates who will register for CAP Counselling before the deadline will only be allowed to appear in the process 
  • E- document verification: The documents submitted by the candidates will then be checked by the admission team. Only those who finish this e-verification step can move ahead in the process.
  • Alphabetical Merit List: A list with all candidate names and details will be published by CET Cell. 
  • Grievance Submission: Candidates can raise objections within the deadline in case of any mistakes in the alphabetical merit list. 
  • Final Merit List: It will be released once all objections are checked. It will have the names of candidates who are selected for counselling and seat allotment.
  • Choose the college preference: Be very careful, as this is what will be considered while making the merit list and availability. 
  • Seat Allotment: Aspirants will get college based on their merit rank, category, and the options they selected during form filling.
  • Freeze and Float Option: Candidates will be given choice during each round to either 'freeze' the college allocated to them or 'float' to participate in next round.

How to Check MH CET Law Result 2026?

The exam conducting body has not declared the MH CET Law Result date for 5-year LLB programme. The 3-year LLB results were announced on May 27, 2026. To download the MH CET Law scorecard for both the 5-year LLB course and the 3-year LLB course, check the process below-

  • Go to the website of CET Cell Maharashtra - cetcell.mahacet.org. 
  • Login using your registered email ID and password. 
  • Click on the score card tab
  • Select 3-Year/5-Year LLB result link 
  • Your scorecard will open in a new tab.

Details to Check on the Scorecard

Candidates who qualify in MH CET 5-year LLB result can participate in counselling rounds. The examination body releases a consolidated result sheet that carries the following details about the qualifying status of candidates:

  1. The names of all candidates who appeared in the MH CET Law 2026 exam
  2. Normalized CET scores
  3. Attendance Status
  4. CET Roll and Registration (or Application) number

The State Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell, Maharashtra, will release the institute-wise MH CET Law 2026 cut-off for 3-year LLB and 5-year LLB courses on its official website during the MH CET Law Counselling process. Each participating institute releases its separate cutoff list for each category. The MH CET Law cutoff is the closing rank (or marks) one has to secure in their category in the exam to secure a seat in their desired college. The MAH CET Cell considers factors like seat intake, total applications received, the MH CET merit ranks of applicants, and the category to determine the cutoff. MH CET Law 5-Year LLB Answer Key 2026

As per the notification released by CET Cell Maharashtra, the "OBJECTION TRACKER" was available till May 26, 2026. The candidates had to pay INR 1000/- per question/per objection online through the candidate's login only.  The MH CET Law final answer key for the 5-year LLB course is out. Follow the steps given below to download the MH CET Law answer key:

  • Go to the CET Cell Maharashtra website, cetcell.mahacet.org. 
  • Log in to the candidate portal.
  • Now, click on Objection Tracking. 
  • Select "MH CET LLB 5-Year Answer Key". 
  • Fill out the objection-related details in the objection form. 
  • Save and submit all the details to complete the process.

What is MH CET Law Exam?

The Maharashtra Common Entrance Test for Law was held to grant admission to Law courses offered at participating Law colleges in Maharashtra. The MH CET Law exam was conducted online for a two-hour duration. The question paper had 120 multiple-choice questions. MH CET Law Eligibility Criteria 2026

Before proceeding with the MH CET Law Application Form, you must check whether you have satisfied the eligibility or not.

MH CET Law Nationality 2026

The Applicants, irrespective of the choice of their courses, need to be the ones having Citizenship in India even if their parents are NRIs.

MH CET Law Age limit 2026

Candidates, particularly the one who is applying for the 3 or 5 years long LLB Course, don't have to fit in the age limit bar as there is no age limit for them.

MH CET Law Eligibility: Qualification

If you are applying for a 5-year LLB course, you must have completed class 12 or equivalent from a recognized university to apply for the entrance exam.

If you are applying for a 3-year LLB course, you must have completed your graduation recognized university. This requirement is a major aspect of the MH CET Law 3 Year LLB Eligibility criteria, and candidates must ensure they meet it before applying.

Those who have finished their final year papers but are awaiting the results to get declared are eligible to apply for the MH CET Law Entrance Exam. Candidates looking for the 5 years course are suggested to apply right after their 12th, or they might have to face scrutiny in the counselling round regarding their academic gaps.

MH CET Law Eligibility Criteria 2026: Qualification for Domicile candidate of Maharashtra 

Those having Maharashtra Domicile are broadly divided into 5 segments who will be considered as domicile candidates only if they fulfill the term and conditions listed below:

Segment 1 Candidates are the original resident of Maharashtra itself and have shifted nowhere else. 
Segment 2 Both the parents or the parents have the domicile certificate of Maharashtra itself.
Segment 3 Both the parents or either of the parents are employed under the Central Government job and have the Maharashtra Domicile at the time of applying for the MH CET Examination.
Segment 4 Parents, either both or one, have to be State Government employees or in the sector that is now functional under the Maharashtra Government.
Segment 5 Candidates speaking Marathi as their first language and passed the 12th-grade examination from the area which befalls on the disputed Karnataka - Maharashtra Border

MH CET Law 2026 Eligibility Criteria: Qualification for Students across India 

One common criterion which makes Candidates eligible to fulfill the MH CET Examination form irrespective of their domicile is their nationality.

So every candidate who has identified as an Indian Citizen is welcomed by the State CET Examination council to submit the form, become a part of this Competitive Law Entrance Examination, and win admission to Maharashtra Law Schools.

This is mandatory for candidates hailing from the Minority, as well as SC/ST, EWS, and Handicapped Applicants of the MH CET 2026, and is equally relevant while checking the MH CET Law 3 Year LLB Eligibility criteria.

MH CET Law Qualification for Minority Segment

Any community is considered a Minority in an area where the population of the community is relatively smaller than the other communities dwelling in the same society. This classic could be based on religion, language, or ethnicity.

Hence, every community identified as a Minority under the State legislation of Maharashtra is allowed to apply and be a part of this examination.

As per the Section 2 C of the National Committee of the Minority Act 1992, Segments like Muslims, Sikhs, Christians, Buddhists, Jain, and Zoroastrians (Parsis) have all been designated the status of minorities in Maharashtra, and the candidates from these backdrops are equally eligible to participate in the examination. 

MH CET Law Qualification for NRI/OCI & PIO Status

Candidates with a background of NRI/ OCI and PIO status don't require applying and contest the competitive examination because they are eligible to appear directly for the CAP round. However, this depends on their Selection based on their merit. 

MH CET Law Qualification for Candidates having Migrants Status (Jammu & Kashmir)

This category is comparatively vast and includes the candidates who are

  • Brian of the Citizens hailing from the borders area of Jammu and Kashmir or are victims of terrorist Violence but was relocated to a different part of Indian regions from 1990 onwards. 
  • Candidates who are the brains of the officials posted on the prestigious IAS or IPS Segment (Operational under the Central Government) In addition to the Indian Foreign Service (IFS) candidates. Additionally, the Candidates hail from the Indian Military background and are specifically deployed in Kashmir. (Their joining has to be of recent date, the candidates with currently deployed parents will be considered under the J&K Category).
  • Children of the Staff of Paramedical, Army, CSF, and BSF, who are all deployed in Kashmir as the terrorism resistance squad, will be considered under the same reservation category. 

Note: The 2nd and 3rd criteria apply only to the parents as well as candidates themselves who have been living in J&K and their parents are still in the service period.

MH CET Law Qualification: The Academic Achievement

As mentioned earlier, the academic demand of each of the courses is different; hence Students willing to apply in different segments need to have different qualifications in possession to be able to fill the form and submit the same and also to get their candidature entertained further.

Those applying under the MH CET Law 3 Year LLB Eligibility criteria must specifically check their graduation marks and university accreditation as listed below.

MH CET Law Eligibility requirement for 5 years Integrated LLB

  • The candidates must have a degree That is equivalent to the 12th or SSC, and it should be from the Maharashtra board or the Central Board like CBSE or ICSE board. 
  • Students need to have a minimum percentage of 45% (For the General, OBC, etc.); however, the candidates hailing from the SC/ST section are provided with a relaxation of 5%
  • Brian's who doesn't have a domicile in Maharashtra will fall under the listed OPEN category irrespective of their caste enlistment.
  • Candidates who have appeared for the 12th examination in the years 2023-2026 will be considered eligible if they clear the examination and can get their Marksheet for verification at the time of the CAP with the minimum quoted percentage.
  • Students lacking the basic education from Face to Face mode (10th) and have appeared for 12th from the open board are not the candidates who are likely to get accepted for the MH CET 2026.

MH CET Law Eligibility requirement for 3 years LLB

  • Individuals seeking candidature in this category need to have a Graduation degree in their possession. This has to be obtained from the Central or the State University recognized by the UGC and accredited by NAAC.
  • In the semester, you have to score such numbers, which can make an aggregate of 45% in the final results and 40% for the SC/ ST, or your application will be declined.
  • Candidates awaiting the results are allowed to apply but with the condition of procurement of either the original mark sheet and certificate or Provisional Marksheet and Certificate at the time of Counselling. 
  • These points collectively define the MH CET Law 3 Year LLB Eligibility criteria and must be checked thoroughly before submission.
  • Note that the MH CET Law 3 Year LLB Eligibility criteria also mandate that students must have completed their graduation through a recognised mode of education and not just any distance or informal setup.

MH CET Law 2026 Eligibility Criteria: Seat allotment and Reservation

A fair and Square reservation policy is applicable to all the colleges participating in the MH CET to ensure that fair distribution of seats must occur to promote intellectual equality among different segments of society.

This rule is uniformly applied to all forms of educational departments in Maharashtra, irrespective of the course they offer; those reservation policies are as follows:

  • 85% of the seats will be allocated to the students who have Maharashtra's domicile across all the institution's nature.
  • 10% of seats are allocated to the students who don't have Maharashtrian domicile but are Indian Citizens.
  • NRI/OCI/PIO Candidates secure 5% of all seats available for admission through the MH CET in all Law colleges Operational in Maharashtra.
  • Completely unaided institutions are liable to provide 65% of their total strength to the students having the Maharashtrian Domicile.
  • Institutions of Minorities have gone under private management, are unaided, and have their 51% seat reserved for respective minority communities.
  • NRI/OCI/PIO has direct claims on the seats at unaided private institutions running in the state of Maharashtra, which involves a 5% defined quota for this category as well.

The Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test Cell released the MHCET Law admit card for the 5-yr LLB exam on May 5, 2026. Candidates could download the MHCET Law 2026 hall ticket online after logging in to the official admission portal, on the official website, cetcell.mhacet.org. Check the steps below

  • Candidates had to visit the MH CET admission portal 
  • Click on the "Download Admit Card CET - 2026" option. 
  • A new login window was visible
  • Log in to this window using your MH CET Law application number, date of birth, and the provided security code (Captcha Code). 
  • Your admit card tab opened. Click on the download button to save it as a PDF.
