MH CET Law 2026 (3 & 5 Yr LLB): Exam Result (OUT), Counselling Dates, Registration, Answer Key & Syllabus

As per the previous year trends, the score above 99 will be considered a good score for both 3-year and 5-year LLB programs. However, the good score depends on many factors such as targetted college, category of the candidate, reservation policy, and the overall performance of the candidate. Normalization process is an established practice for comparing candidate scores across multiple shift papers. There are possibilities of different level of difficulties in each shift for the same exam, however to tackle this scenario, the Normalization Method will be used to calculate the MH CET Law 3-year and 5-year LLB results.

Step 1: Candidates would be distributed into four sessions randomly so that each session has approximately equal number of candidates. Suppose: Session-1: Day-1 Batch 1 (D1-B1), Session-2: Day-1 Batch-2 (D1-B2), Session-3: Day-1 Batch 3 (D1-B3).

Step-2: The examination results for each session would be prepared in the form of Raw Scores.

Total Percentile (TP) = 100 X No. of candidates appeared from the session with raw score equal to or less than T1 score

                               Total No. of Candidates appeared for the session

Step-3: The Percentile scores for the Total Raw Score for all the four sessions (Session- 1: Day-1 Batch 1-1, Session-2: Day-1 batch-2 and Session-3: Day-1 Batch-3 as calculated in Step-2 above would be merged and shall be called the CET Percentile scores which will then be used for compilation of result.

The Percentile of all four sessions will be calculated separately for the total raw score.

The MH CET Law 2026 answer key for the 3-year LLB course was released on April 29, 2026. Candidates were allowed to raise objections against the answer key during the answer key objection window between May 1 to May 3, 2026. The fee per objection was INR 1,000.

The MHCET Law 3-year LLB result has been announced. The State Cell is expected to release the 5-year LLB result shortly.

Candidates will be able to access the MH CET Law answer key for both 3-year LLB and 5-year LLB through the individual candidate's login. The MH CET Law 2026 answer key is available for download through the official website only by logging in to the portal using the registered email ID and password.

Candidates will receive a full refund of INR 1000 for the answers whose objection is accepted by the exam authorities. Though, candidates can raise the objections on multiple questions during the process. It is upon the exam authority to accept or reject the objection raised.

Under MH CET Law CAP process, freeze option refers when candidates want to confirm their allotment and if they do not want to participate in the further counselling rounds. They will accept the allotted college and pay the admission fee. Such candidates will not be considered for further counselling rounds.

The registration process for the counselling started will begin online on the CET cell official website at cetcell.mahacet.org. The CAP process will be conducted for 3-year and 5-year LLB separately. Once the counselling registration will be over, the exam authority will release the MH CET Law merit lists. Candidates will be given option for choice filling during the CAP process.

The MH CET Law merit list is a list of candidates who have been shortlisted for counseling based on their rank in the MH CET Law entrance exam. The merit list is prepared separately for MS (Maharashtra State), OMS (Other State / Outside Maharashtra State) candidates, Jammu & Kashmir Candidates and INR, Outside Maharashtra State (OMS) or All India category candidature type, Foreign Nationals, Non Resident Indians (NRI) / Overseas Indian Citizen (OIC) / Person of Indian Origin (PIO) candidates. Candidates cannot raise objections against the merit list.

The MH CET Law merit list is released by the State Common Entrance Test Cell (CET Cell), Maharashtra. Candidates can check their MH CET Law merit list on the official website of the CET Cell, Maharashtra.

Under MH CET Law CAP process, float option is a term through which if candidates are not satisfied with the allotted colleges, they can choose this 'Float' option. Candidates exercising this option are eligible for appearing in the subsequent counselling rounds. In case they are not offered seats, they can choose the previously allotted college.

No. The candidates will not be allowed to carry their mobile phone to the MH CET LAW exam centre. The authorities will not allow the candidates to bring their electronic devices inside the centres. For MH CET Law 2026 eligibility, you must be an Indian citizen. You should have at least 45% marks in your exam. SC and ST students need 40%, and OBC, VJNT, SBC, or EWS need 42%. Candidates will have to carry the following listed items to MH Law CET exam centre:

• MH Law CET admit card printed copy 
• A valid photo ID proof (Aadhaar card, PAN card, Driving License, etc.)

If you are not able to download your MH CET Law admit card, make sure you internet is stable. Cross check your registration number / registration or payment reference ID, qualifying exam hall ticket number, and date of birth. You can also try accessing it on another device.

If you forget your MH CET Law admit card, you will not be allowed to sit for the exam. Therefore, carry the admit card to the exam centre.
