What is OJEE?
Odisha Joint Entrance Exam, OJEE, is a state-level entrance exam conducted by the OJEE Cell for admission to B.Pharm, MBA/PGDM, MCA, and M.Tech courses. The OJEE exam was held in the computer-based test (CBT) mode for different programmes. Based on OJEE scores, candidates can apply for admission to various programmes offered by OJEE-participating colleges. OJEE is also conducted for admission to Lateral Entry B.Tech, MCA/Lateral Entry MCA courses. Biju Pattanaik Film and Television Institute of Odisha (BPFTIO), offers four-year degree programmes for the academic session in Cinematic Art and Technology in three prime disciplines, i.e., Cinematography, Sound Recording and Sound Design and Film editing. - OJEE is a state-government-controlled centralized entrance exam conducted for admissions to various private and government colleges in Odisha.

There are 89 Colleges Under OJEE for BTech, two colleges for BArch, 86 colleges for MBA, 44 colleges for MCA, and 29 colleges for Pharmacy. The seat intake capacity is different for all the campuses. The OJEE participating colleges are the colleges which accept the OJEE scores, government as well as private. Candidates who are natives of Odisha are eligible to take admission to the government colleges in the state and the candidates from any other state in India and abroad other than Odisha are only eligible to take admission to the private colleges in Odisha based on their scores in OJEE.
The OJEE Cell has announced the OJEE exam dates. The OJEE exam 2025 was conducted from May 2, 2025, to May 6, 2025 and on May 10 and 11. The registrations for OJEE exam started on January 30, 2025. The registration window closed on March 20, 2025.

OJEE eligibility criteria is different for admission to undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. Minimum OJEE eligibility criteria to apply for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes is:

- MBA - The student must hold a graduation degree in any relevant discipline or equivalent or bachelor's degree in Engineering/Technology/Architecture/Pharmacy of four years duration with a minimum 50 per cent aggregate. Students in their final year are also eligible to apply. There is no prescribed age limit defined for MBA programmes.
- MTech - The students must have obtained a minimum of 50 per cent aggregate or above in their graduation from a relevant discipline. Students in the final year of the qualifying examination can also apply. No age limit is prescribed for admission to MTech programmes.
- MCA - Student should have completed their graduation of a minimum of three years duration in any discipline with a minimum of 50 per cent and should have studied Mathematics at 10+2 or undergraduate level. Final years students are also eligible to apply for MCA. There is no age bar for admission to the MCA programme.
- MArch - Students should have completed their bachelor's in Architecture with a minimum aggregate of 50 per cent to be eligible to apply for MArch. Students in the final year of the qualifying exam can also apply. No age limit is prescribed by the OJEE board for admission.
- MPharma - Students must have completed their graduation in Pharmacy with at least 50 per cent or more. No age bar is defined by the board for admission. Final year students can also apply.

OJEE 2026 eligibility criteria for undergraduate programmes
- BPharma:Â Students who have qualified Class 12 examination in the science stream with a minimum of 45 per cent aggregate can apply for the OJEE exam 2026. There is no prescribed age limit for admission to the B.Pharma programme.
- BHMS or BAMS:Â Students should have completed Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (Botany & Zoology) with a minimum of 50 per cent aggregate in all three subjects taken together. There is no age bar.Â
- BCAT: Students should have passed Class 12 in the science stream from a recognised board.

The Special OJEE registration fee is non-refundable. Once the Special OJEE application fee is paid, even if you do not appear for the exam the application fee will not be returned. If the amount has been debited from your account but the application fee payment status has not been updated, you can write to OJEE Cell. 2nd OJEE application fee is to be paid online, hence, candidates must carefully fill the application form and re-check the details filled in the application form before paying the application fee.
The 2nd/Special OJEE application form will be released on June 13, 2025, and will be available till June 28, 2025. Candidates will be able to apply online for the Special OJEE exam 2025. Yes, Trident Colleges accepts the score of OJEE for admissions. The college offers BTech, BSc in Biotechnology, BBA and BCA under UG programmes whereas the Post-Graduate Programme list includes MTech, MCA, MBA and MSc Biotechnology. To be eligible to take admission to the Trident College candidates must have taken OJEE in the relevant year and meet the cutoff. The candidate must have secured a minimum of 50% aggregate in the qualifying exam.

Yes, OJEE is generally considered easier than JEE in terms of the difficulty level. The level of the OJEE exam is easy to moderate and it focuses on basic concepts. The difficulty level of the JEE exam is high and majorly focuses on deep understanding of the concepts.
The OJEE exam is a state level entrance exam whereas the JEE exam is a national-level entrance exam and is accepted by some of the top institute in the country. Also, the competition in OJEE exam is comparatively lesser than JEE as it is accepted at the national level.
After the OJEE cutoff is released, candidates should check the cutoff released by their preferred college. If the candidates match the cutoff, they will be called for the counselling process at various institutes. Candidates will be reqiured to fill in their cjoices of courses and colleges. And after the seat allotment is done they should visit the institute of document verficiation and fee payment. Once the seat is confirmed, they must report to the college on the scheduled date.

No, OJEE exam will only be conducted in computer-based test mode. Earlier, OJEE was held in two modes computer-based test mode or online and paper-based test mode or offline, but 2019 onwards OJEE exam is being held in online mode only. There is also no provision of offline fee payment either. Candidates must note that OJEE registration is also an online process. The students need to visit the OJEE exam centre in order to take the OJEE exam. Candidates will be required to mark the correct answer by choosing the radio bullet against the right option given on the screen. Candidates will be given four options for each question and they will be required to choose the right one on the screen.
Once the OJEE examination center is allocated, it is usually final. Hence, if the OJEE exam centre that has been alloted to you if far from the your current location then, plan your journey in advance. Research the location and calculate the estimated travel time and plan to arrive at the center well before the reporting time. Choose a reliable mode of transport to travel to the location and look out for an accomodation in advance if necessary.
The candidates appearing for the OJEE exam must carry the following list of document to the OJEE exam centre:
- OJEE admit card
- Photo ID proof (such as Aadhar card, driving license, pan card, passport, etc.)
- Two passport size photographs of the candidate
