The TNPSC Group 4 Applications will start with the notification. The candidates will be allowed to fill the TNPSC Group 4 applications online only on the dedicated portal. The last date to apply for the exam will be November 5, 2026. The candidates should note that the TNPSC register number will be compulsory for the application. TNPSC Group 4 Age Limit

Candidates applying for the post of Village Administrative Officer (VAO), Forest Guard, Forest Guard with Driving Licence, Forest Watcher, and Forest Watcher (Tribal Youth) should be a minimum of 21 years and should not have completed 32 years of age.

TNPSC Group 4 Qualification

The candidates must have passed the SSLC Public Examination or its equivalent. SSLC means Secondary School Leaving Certificate or class Tenth Pass. Being the front-line functionaries, they need to deal and communicate with the public. Sp, for this purpose, the candidates must have required knowledge of the Tamil language. 

The selection process for the TNPSC Group 4 exam is very simple. The candidates have to appear in the written exam conducted across the state; It is an offline test and the marks secured in this exam is considered for the final merit. The candidates who qualify the written test are called for certificate verification and counselling. Certificate verification is a second important step in the TNPSC Group 4 selection process. The selection of the candidates is subject to the successful verification of the candidate’s certification.

Counselling is the last step in the TNPSC Group 4 recruitment process. In this exam, Counselling is only concerned with assigning an appropriate candidate to the most suitable department, which will be the best option for the candidate also depending upon his preferences and nativity. One of the most important points is that the person appointed to any of the services in the TNPSC Group 4 services, the candidate must reside in the village under his charge and shall continue to live in the said village as long as he is in charge of the village.
