IIT JAM 2027 admit card: The authority will release the JAM hall ticket 2027 in January 2027. The link to download the admit card for IIT JAM 2027 will be updated online on the official website. Candidates will be able to download the admit card through the JOAPS Portal. They will have to use their credentials to access the admit card. How to Download IIT JAM 2027 Admit Card?
The authority will activate the IIT JAM admit card download link on the official website. Candidates must keep their login details handy. The process to download the IIT JAM hall ticket 2027 is updated here.

Yes it is important to print out IIT JAM admit card as it is the entry pass to the examination hall. You will not be permitted to enter the examination centre without it.
Candidates has to paste their pass port size photoof 4"x6" dimension on IIT JAM admit card. Photo should be same as uploaded during IIT JAM application process. They also had to ensure that photo is clearly visible and legible and fulfills the guidelines given by examination conducting body.

Things Not To Carry in IIT JAM 2027 Exam Center
- Devices: electronic devices (mobile phones, smart watches, Bluetooth, and any other communication devices) are completely prohibited.
- Study materials: including books, notes, or written documents
- Food/drinks: including snacks or drinks that are not water (drinking water must be in a transparent bottle), and
- Jewellery: if necessary, please do not wear items that may potentially activate a metal detector (such as rings, earrings, or any number of bracelets).

There have some serious consequences when bringing prohibited items to take any IIT JAM exams:
Disqualification from the Exam: You can be disqualified from the exam, meaning your test could be taken away from you, and you could leave the examination room with the exam immediately invalidated.
Seizure of Items: Any prohibited item found on your person will be taken from you by the exam officials.
Possibly Criminal Action: Depending upon the item and the terms of the examination centre, in some cases bringing a prohibited item may incur some form of charges.
IIT JAM Admit Card is an online document that acts as the hall ticket to the centre and carries candidates' personal and exam paper details. Candidates will have to log in to the exam website and download the hall ticket in PDF format.

Exam Day instructions
On exam day students need to follow the instructions provided by the examination authority. Students can check the information brochure to know the exam day instructions. Here we have provided few of them.
- Aspirants need to carry JAM admit card and a valid photo id on exam day. An original copy of the photo ID card needs to be carried by aspirants as a scanned copy of the photocopy will not be accepted. Photo ID cards that candidates can carry to their IIT JAM exam centre are- College ID, Employer ID, Driving License, Passport, PAN Card, Voter ID, and Aadhaar-UID.
- The print of the IIT JAM admit card has to be taken on A4-size paper by using a colour laser printer (preferably). After taking a printout of the admit card, candidates need to ensure that their signature and photograph are clear.
- Aspirants are advised to visit or locate their exam centre at least a day prior to the exam.
- Candidates need to ensure that their fingertips do not have any coating (example: ink, mehndi, henna, or tattoo) as a biometric system of verification will be done on the exam day.
- Aspirants need to report to their allotted IIT JAM exam centre at least 90 minutes before the exam starts for identity verification.
- Candidates will be allowed to take the IIT JAM exam only after their credentials have been verified by JAM Officials.
- Candidates will be allowed to sit at their allotted seat for the IIT JAM exam 40 minutes before the exam is scheduled to start. Further, 20 minutes before the exam starts, candidates will be allowed to log in and read the exam instructions.
- Candidates will not be able to log in 30 minutes after the exam has started.
- Candidates will not be permitted to leave their exam hall before the exam ends.
- In the IIT JAM exam, candidates will be provided with a 'virtual scientific calculator' on their computer screen. Candidates are informed that they will not be allowed to carry any personal calculators, mobile phones, watches/wristwatches or any other electronic devices inside their examination hall. Also, JAM exam officials are not responsible for the safekeeping of the personal belongings of candidates.
- Candidates are advised against carrying any charts/tables/papers to their exam hall. For rough work, aspirants will be provided with scribble pads. Candidates need to write their names and registration numbers on the scribble pad before using it. When the exam ends, the scribble pad has to be returned to the invigilator.

Scribes were arranged for those PwD candidates who had requested to be provided with a scribe at the time of application.
Qualification of the scribe arranged by test centre will NOT be more than the minimum eligibility criteria of JAM. However, the qualification of the scribe is be matriculation (10th) or above. If there are Y candidates who require a scribe, it will be ensured that a panel of (Y+1) scribes is available at the exam centre so that every candidate can have an alternative scribe to choose for the services.
In case a candidate is not able to download his/ her admit card then the Chairman JAM of the IIT/ IISc under which the first choice of test city falls may be contacted through phone/ fax/ email. However, while contacting, the candidate should provide his/ her “online enrolment ID, name, email ID, mobile number, mailing address, and city code of the desired test centre (first choice) to get information about the registration number and the name of the test centre allotted, ” informs the official website.
While uploading files candidates must ensure that they do so in suggested resolution. In case PDF file or printout does not display a clear photograph or signature candidates need to PDF resolution again and check for clarity. If it is still not clear enough, then they have to approach exam authorities and seek solutions.
Apart from IIT JAM 2027 admit card, candidates must carry these documents to exam centre:
- Passport size photograph (same as the one uploaded with the application form)
- A valid photo Id proof (Aadhaar card/ Driving Licence/ PAN Card/ Passport/ Voter Id)
- Facemask and hand gloves
- 50 ml bottle of hand sanitiser
- Transparent water bottle
Exam authorities will take these actions:
- Exam authorities will verify the reported discrepancy.
- If discrepancy is substantiated authorities will adjust or correct your application as required.

IIT JAM 2027 entrance exam does not require students to stick to a specific dress code. You can typically wear casual outfits. However by wearing a formal apparel can benefit in having a decent and presentable look (e.g., wearing a shirt and trouser).
Some institutions may have specific guidelines (e.g., wear shirts or t-shirts, jeans or trousers etc).
The policies for the IIT JAM exam often ban candidates from wearing caps or hats when sitting in the exam hall. Making sure the examination is fair and secure is the purpose of this policy. While there may be no cap or hat policy written on the IIT JAM examination instructions, the general dress code may state 'no head coverings', in order to be free of suspicion of hiding cheating devices and for any obstruction of view the examiners may not be aware of.
