Gang Plank in Scalar Chain
Fayol developed a ‘gang plank’ methodology to avoid possible communication delays. This flow is a straight-line arrangement between two points to ensure swift communication.

The flow of communication is defined as A to B to C and D to E to F. The authority-responsibility relationship is also defined.

To solve this communication problem and better flow of information, a system known as ‘Gang Plank’ was introduced where C or F could contact each other, and in the same way, B and E could contact each other.
