IIT JAM 2026 Counselling
The authority is conducting an additional/final round of IIT JAM counselling. The eligible candidates must participate in the counselling process. There will be no further round of counselling. Interested candidates must participate in the counselling process. IIT JAM counselling rounds 1 to 4 are over.
Candidates are allotted seats based on the IIT JAM rank. Check and know the opening and closing ranks for IITs. Those whose ranks are between the opening and closing ranks are offered admission.
Candidates who receive an offer have to submit their preferences. If a student chooses Accept and Freeze, he/she must pay the seat acceptance fee by the prescribed date. To proceed to the next round for better options, students must choose the Accept and Upgrade option.
IIT JAM 2026 Seat Intake
There are around 3000 seats in postgraduate programmes at 21 IITs for the academic year 2026-27. Students are offered admission based on JAM 2026 Scores, subject to satisfying the ERs and MEQs and any other requirements, without any additional interview or written test. There are a total of 60 questions carrying a total of 100 marks.
Section - C has a total 20 Numerical Answer Type questions, involving 10 questions of one mark each and 10 questions of two marks each. For NAT questions.
