What is DU LLB Entrance Exam?
National Testing Agency (NTA) conducts DU LLB Entrance Exam for admissions to three-year LLB courses offered at Campus Law Centre, Law Centre-I and Law Centre-II of Delhi University. The exam is conducted at the national level at more than 18 test cities (listed below). Through the entrance exam, more than 2,900 LLB seats are offered at the law centres of Delhi University.
DU LLB Entrance Exam 2021 Eligibility Criteria
For admissions to Faculty of Law, Delhi University, candidates should meet the academic qualification and minimum marks requirements as per their categories are given below:
- General Category:Â Candidates holding a graduation/ post-graduation degree from Delhi University or any other recognized Indian/foreign university with at least 50% aggregate marks.
- OBC Category: Candidates passing graduation/ post-graduation from a recognised university with at least 45% aggregate marks.
- SC/ST Category: Candidates passing graduation/post-graduation from a recognised university with at least 40% aggregate marks.
- CW Category:Â Candidates who come under widows/ wards of ex-servicemen/serving personnel (CW) category are given a 5% marks relaxation, which means they must have obtained at least 45% aggregate marks in their qualifying degree.
- PH Category: Candidates holding a graduation/ post-graduation degree from a recognised institute or university and minimum marks secured should be at least 45% marks in aggregate.

DU LLB Entrance Exam Admission Process
Candidates must know the DU LLB Entrance Exam admission process before applying in for admission, there are various steps one must keep in mind to know the structure of the admission process which is as follows:Â
Registration: The first step is registering online on the official website of Delhi University. The candidate has to create a login ID and password in order to apply online and to check results and download the admit card. The ID and password will also be used in the University login once selected for the programme.Â
Apply for DU LLB Entrance Exam: Once a login ID and password has been created, the candidate has to apply online on the official website of Delhi University. The candidate has to enter details such as their personal details, academic details, upload their documents as required and pay the application fee. Once the fee has been paid, the candidate will have successfully applied for the DU LLB Entrance Exam. Candidates are required to check the eligibility criteria of the programme before applying as ineligible candidate's applications will be rejected at any time of the admission process.Â
Download Admit Card: Once successfully applied, the candidate has to download the DU LLB Entrance Exam admit card online on the official website of NTA-DU. A link will be mentioned on the PDF at the time of the release of the admit card for the entrance exam. The admit card is an important document which needs to be carried to the entrance exam.Â
DU LLB Entrance Exam: An official date will be announced for the DU LLB Entrance Exam and aspirants are required to reach the allotted exam centre well in time. Also, read the rules as mentioned on the admit card and adhere to the guidelines.Â
Declaration of Results: The DU LLB Entrance Exam Results will be declared online on the official website of Delhi University. The scorecards will be released, followed by the release of the merit lists of the course, which will contain the names of students who have been shortlisted for the counselling round.
DU LLB Students Reaction and Paper Analysis
The overall paper of the law entrance exam was moderate to difficult level.
- Candidates who have appeared for the exam shared that there were less General Awareness questions for DU LLB 2020.
- They said that most of the questions asked in the Legal Awareness section were from the Indian Constitution.
- Candidates found the Analytical Reasoning Section to be difficult.
- As compared to other sections of the DU LLBÂ paper, the questions from English Language and Mathematics were easy.Â
