Uttarakhand BTech Admission 2025: Spot Counselling Dates, Selection Criteria

• Pay the counselling fee: The very first thing that the candidates have to do is pay the application fee. The Uttarakhand BTech counselling application fee is INR 2000. Without paying the application fee, candidates can not proceed to the next step of the application process.
• Registration: After paying the application fee, candidates have to complete the registration process using the details asked like:
  • JEE Main Application Number
  • JEE Main Roll Number
  • Candidate name
  • Date of Birth
  • Transaction ID
  • Payment date and mode

After completing all this, candidates have to also create a password of their choice for login.

• Login: After the registration, candidates have to login to fill rest of the Uttarakhand Btech application form. To login, candidates have to use JEE Main Roll Number, Password and Login ID.
• Fill personal and educational details: Next, candidates have to complete some details in the form. These will be personal and educational details of the candidates.
• Upload photo: Candidates have to upload scanned copy of their photo in the online form in the specification asked.

The Uttarakhand BTech choice filling process means filling of preferences of colleges and courses by the candidates where they want to get admission. Candidates can fill in the option of branch and institute. The candidates are also advised to choose only those branches/institutes in which they are interested in taking admission. The list of courses and institutes available to the candidates is displayed based on the candidates’ rank in the entrance exam under their respective logins. Candidates can select and arrange the choices in order of their preference.

The Uttarakhand BTech counselling 2025 seat allotment result can be checked online on the official website, uktech.ac.in. Candidates can check their seat allotment result and after seat allocation, candidates will have to appear for admission directly in the allotted institute within the stipulated period. The allotment of seats will be based on the selection criteria, the choices filled by the candidates, and their category.

The candidates shall be also issued the seat allotment letter. To know about the Institute and Branch allotment, candidates can print their allotment letter from the website during the prescribed date. Also, after seat allocation, candidates will have to exercise the options of freeze / float / withdraw.

Once the seat is allotted to the candidates via the Uttarakhand BTech counselling 2025, they have to decide on the allotted seats. The candidates can either freeze the seat or choose to float or withdraw. Freeze, float and withdraw options are described below:

Freeze

A candidate selecting "Freeze" means that they are happy with the allotted seat and do not want to take part in any more counselling rounds. These candidates will not be considered in any further Uttarakhand BTech counselling 2025 rounds. On selecting the Freeze option, the candidate must deposit INR 10000.

Float

The candidate who selects "Float" will indicate that they accept the seat. However, they would like to participate in further Uttarakhand BTech counselling rounds. They would like to be considered fora  better course from their choice list in any college. These candidates will be considered in the upcoming counselling rounds.

Withdraw

 If a candidate chooses the withdrawal option, that candidate will also be out of the counselling process. To participate in the next counselling, such a candidate has to register again as a new candidate and pay the counselling fee (counselling Fee-Non Refundable) INR 2000 online.

Candidates have to appear at the allotted institute by the last date prescribed along with all the necessary original certificates, one attested photocopy of all the certificates and 2 photographs. 

• Candidates will have to submit a permanent residence certificate for admission in reserved seats of state quota.
• In case the candidates have passed the minimum eligibility for admission from Uttarakhand, they will be eligible only for general category seats of the state quota.
• Women candidates will also need a permanent residence certificate for admission to the women's seat.
• Armed Force (AF) seats are for the dependents of ex-servicemen. For this, the certificate issued by the Sainik Rehabilitation Welfare Board will be valid.

If a candidate fails to submit the specified certificates at the time of admission, the candidate's allotment will be automatically revoked, and the seat will be made available for the next round of counselling.

Uttarakhand BTech Admission counselling is an online centralised counselling process conducted by Veer Madho Singh Bhandari Uttarakhand Technical University, formerly Uttarakhand Technical University (UTU). Via the counselling process, candidates are granted admission to the first year of the BTech course in university departments, campus institutions and affiliated government / private institutes of Uttarakhand and College of Technology, G B Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Pantnagar.

The Uttarakhand BTech admission seat allotment is based on JEE Main ranks and class 12 marks. However, while allotting the seats candidates with JEE Main scores are given priority and then the candidates with class 12 marks only are considered.
