VITEEE 2020 will be conducted by the Vellore Institute of Technology from April 13 to 19. This is a computer-based test conducted to give BTech admissions for different streams in the various campuses of this institute. Since the exam dates are close, the aspirants should know the preparation essentials, important concepts and study material of VITEEE 2020 which can improve their preparation. The aspirants must know the official syllabus and exam pattern well in advance. This will help the aspirants to accordingly plan their preparation schedule.

The duration of this exam will be 150 minutes and will be completed in the English language. The nature of questions will be objective in nature that is multiple-choice questions will be asked. Every year almost more than 2 lakh applicants fill the application form and that signifies the high level of competition. It is important to know the upcoming events regarding this exam so that students can prepare accordingly as per the time limit available. Admit cards will be released in the third week of March itself while the result is likely to be declared on April 30. The counseling process will start in the second week of May.

This exam will be conducted in three sessions per day that is session one is from 9-11:30 am, session two is from 12:30-3 pm and session three is from 4-6:30 pm. A total of 125 questions will be asked from five different sections. The summary is as follows: A total of 35 questions will be asked from Physics, 35 from Chemistry, 40 from Mathematics/ Biology, 10 from aptitude and five questions will be asked from the English language. These questions in total will carry 125 marks. There is no negative marking so one mark will be awarded for each correct answer and penalty on the wrong answer.

All the questions in this exam will be on the lines of the state board and CBSE board. Like other engineering exams here also Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology, and English will be the major part of this exam. In physics, an aspirant need to consider the topics like Law of motion and work, energy and power, Properties of matter, Electro statistics, Current electricity, Magnetic effect of electric current, Electromagnetic Induction and Alternating Current, Optics, Dual Nature of Radiation and Atomic Physics, Nuclear Physics, Semiconductor Devices, and their Applications.

Likewise for chemistry following topics need to be considered: Atomic Structure, p,d and f – Block Elements, Coordination Chemistry, and Solid State Chemistry, Thermodynamics, Chemical Equilibrium, and Chemical Kinetics, Electrochemistry, Isomerism in Organic Compounds, Alcohols and Ethers, Carbonyl Compounds, Carboxylic Acids and their derivatives, Organic Nitrogen Compounds, and Biomolecule.

For Mathematics:  Matrices and their Applications, Trigonometry and Complex Numbers, Analytical Geometry of two dimensions, Vector Algebra, Analytical Geometry of Three Dimensions, Differential Calculus, Integral Calculus, and its Applications, Differential Equations, Probability Distributions, and Discrete Mathematics.

For Biology following topics need to be considered: Taxonomy, Cell and Molecular Biology, Reproduction, Genetics and Evolution, Human health and diseases, Biochemistry, Plant physiology, Human physiology, Biotechnology and its applications, Biodiversity and ecology, and environment.

For Aptitude following topics need to be covered 1. Data Interpretation  2. Data Sufficiency 3. Syllogism 4. Number Series, Coding and Decoding 5. Clocks, Calendars, and Directions.

For the English language following topics need to be covered: the comprehension of a short passage or line of poems, English grammar and pronunciation.

Finally here are few tips from the experts which will surely help you in clearing the exam. Aspirants need to put in consistent efforts in their studies and the study process should be regular. Revision should be done without any break, means revision should be on daily basis it improves your retention power. Keep yourself focused and motivated for the goal. There are approximately 130 test cities for Vellore Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Exam in India. Candidates can select only test city during registration process.

Students can select only one exam centre/ test city during VITEEE registration. The test city once selected cannot be changed or edited. Final selection of the VITEEE exam date and time will be done at the time of slot booking.

VITEEE slot booking is expected to start in April (second week). Students who complete the slot booking process will be able to download their admit card and appear for the entrance exam.

Students can check VITEEE entrance exam date on its official website. Also, students who have done VIT BTech slot booking and received admit card can check their specific allotted exam date. The VIT entrance exam date and time will be mentioned in VITEEE hall ticket.

As for now, there are no changes made in VITEEE exam dates. According to authorities, VITEEE will be tentatively conducted from April 28 to May 3. Official updates will be done on the official website.
