GATE IOCL Recruitment 2025

IOCL Recruitment Through GATE 2025: Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) will release the notification for recruitment through GATE 2025 on its official website: www.iocl.com. The notification is expected to be released in the first week of June 2025, soon after the declaration of GATE 2025 results (March 19, 2025). IIT Roorkee conducted the GATE 2025 exams on February 1, 2, 15, and 16, 2025

The IOCL Recruitment through GATE 2025 will be conducted for engineering graduates of Chemical, Civil, Electrical, Instrumentation, and Mechanical streams. Candidates of other than these disciplines are not eligible to apply for vacancies in the organisation.

A:

The dates for JoSAA counselling 2026 choice filling will be announced once the result of JEE Main 2026 is declared. Candidates can fill choices only during the choice filling period. Also, candidates need to lock their choices before the last date.

Q:   How can I get admission to the MA by Research course at IIT Bombay?
A:

Students holding Bachelor's degree with 60 percent marks (55 percent for reserved category) are eligible to apply. Eligible students should visit the IIT Bombay website to fill the application form. The selection is through GATE or MAAT exam followed by an interview round.

Q:   What is the GATE registration fee for M.Tech admission at IIT Delhi?
A:

In order to register successfully for GATE, aspirants must pay the application fee. The fee payment can be done via credit card/debit card/net banking. In the table given below, category-wise GATE application fee is mentioned:

IOCL Job Profile

Selected candidates can be posted as engineers in any of the divisions of IOCL including Refineries, Marketing, Pipelines, and Business Development, Information Systems, Optimization or In Subsidiary/Joint Venture Companies. For detailed job profiles, candidates can check the following table:

Q:   What is the cutoff of IIT Delhi for 2025 admission?
A:

IIT Delhi cutoff 2025 for BTech admission has been released for Round 1. The cutoff was released as opening and closing ranks for different categories of students belonging to the AI quota. During Round 1, the BTech admission cutoffs were between 125 and 5608, with CSE being the most competitive specialisation for admission. Tabulated below are the Round 1 closing ranks of all the BTech and Integrated BTech specialisations offered at IIT Delhi for General AI quota students.

Q:   How can I get admission in BDes in IIT Bombay?
A:

IIT Bombay admission to BDes course includes various steps. Starting with registration to entrance exam, counselling and seat allotment. Before jumping to application, candidates must also check their eligibility. Any candidate who have completed Class 12 can apply for BDes course. 

Step 1: Registration

Candidates need to apply online for BDes course with an application fee of INR 3,800 for open and INR 1,900 for reserved category. The common application form will be available through the IIT Bombay Admissions Portal. 

Step 2: Selection

The selection to BDes course is based on UCEED rank. A merit list is prepared based on UCEED rank of the candidates.

Step 3: Counselling

Once shortlisted, candidates need to register for counselling. The seat are alloted based on the UCEED rank of the candidates. Aspirants must pay the fee to confirm their seat in the institute.

Q:   What are the qualifying marks for GATE exam?
A:

Qualifying mark of GATE exam usually varies every year depending on certain factors. Candidates can refer to expected cutoff based on last year's trends 

  • General - 25 to 32
  • OBC - 22 to 28
  • SC/ST/PwD - 17 to 25

IOCL Selection Process

The selection procedure for Officers/Engineers/GAEs/Research Officers in IOCL will comprise of the following steps:

Valid GATE Score: Candidates must have appeared and qualified the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineers (GATE) 2025 with good scores in concerned disciplines. Candidates must keep in mind that though the GATE score is valid for three years but PSUs only consider the score of the current year. It means that for getting recruited in 2025, students must have a valid GATE 2025 score.

After qualifying the GATE, candidates will be shortlisted based on their scores for rounds ahead:

  • Group Discussion (GD)/Group Task (GT)
  • Personal Interview (PI) for assessment of different facets of knowledge, skills, etc.

Other than qualifying GATE, Candidates have to qualify separately in Group Discussion (GD)/Group Task (GT) and Personal Interview (PI) successfully. Candidates’ scores in the GATE, GD/GT, and PI will be the basis of preparing a discipline- wise merit list.

IOCL Recruitment through GATE 2025: Eligibility Criteria

Conditions before getting recruited for IOCL. The eligibility conditions have been explained below:

Qualifying Examination

Aspirants must have passed qualifying degree examinations and awarded bachelor’s degree in engineering/technology (full-time regular courses only)

For MTech candidates: Students pursuing or have completed MTech are also eligible to apply for IOCL Recruitment through GATE subject to their graduation pursued in the specified disciplines only. They will also be required to qualify the GATE in the specified subject of the respective discipline.

For Integrated ME/MTech candidates: They are also eligible to apply, provided they have completed or are completing the course requirement for BE/BTech in one of the core disciplines advertised and have completed ME/MTech. During the selection and interview, the candidates must possess and produce both BE/BTech and ME/MTech degrees.

Who’s not eligible? Candidates having completed or who are pursuing their graduation in combined/integrated disciplines/inter-disciplinary subjects like Mechatronics/Robotics etc will not be considered eligible.

Pass Percentage

General and OBC (NCL) category candidates must have secured at least 65% marks in aggregate in the qualifying examination, whereas for SC/ST and PwD candidates the eligibility is minimum 55% aggregate marks.

Final year students

At the time of applying, candidates belonging to General & OBC-NCL categories must have secured a minimum of 65% aggregate marks Candidates of SC/ST/PWD categories are required to have obtained at least 55% aggregate marks. This is up to the last semester/year examination at the time of applying For Selection. Such candidates have to submit their final mark sheet by August 31, 2024.

Age Limit 

Candidates belonging to General Category should not be more than 28 years of age. Relaxation for reserved category candidates will be as per the Government regulations. For Assistant Officers in Quality Control, the age limit is 30 years.

Candidates employed in Government/Semi-Government/Central/State Government Departments/Public Sector Undertakings must produce ‘No Objection Certificate’ from their employer at the time of Interview

Steps to apply for IOCL through GATE is mentioned below.

  • Go to IOCL official website, www.iocl.com
  • Select “Careers” option and open GATE 2025 link.
  • Now click on “Apply Online”, and a new pop-up will display.
  • Provide required details and upload a photograph and signature.
  • Finally, submit the form
  • You will get an unique id

IOCL Salary Band

  • Candidates selected as Engineers/Officers will be receiving a monthly remuneration of INR 60,000. Also, the recruited candidates will get different allowances as per the rules of the Corporation.
  • Other Allowances or Benefits will include DA, HRA/Subsidised Housing Accommodation (depending upon the place of posting), medical facilities, performance-related pay, gratuity, contributory provident fund, employees’ pension scheme, group personal accident insurance scheme, leave encashment, LTC, contributory superannuation benefit fund scheme, conveyance advance, performance-related incentives, etc.
  • The Cost to Company (CTC) will be around INR 17.00 lakhs per annum inclusive of Performance Related Pay. The Actual CTC may vary, depending on the place of posting, and other factors.

No, the GATE 2026 has already been concluded for IIT Dhanbad M.Tech admissions. The GATE 2026 registrations are closed in the month of October. Candidates who have appeared for GATE will need to wait for all merit-lists to be revealed.

The PhD admissions to the Institute Assistantship courses at IIT Guwahati require candidates to appear for the GATE or CEED. 

However, PhD admissions to the other categories of PhD courses at IIT Guwahati are not decided on the basis of the aforementioned entrance exams scores.
