The paper is not that tough and if you prepare well, you can easily get good results. Your focus should be on solving as many questions as possible as there is no negative marking.
SRM is one of the best private universities in the country with excellent facilities, faculties, and placements. SRM Joint Engineering Entrance Exam is conducted by SRM every year for admission into different branches of engineering in its various campuses. The process starts around the month of December and you need to submit your registration along with an amount of Rs 1100 in the form of DD. It is a computer-based test which comprises of 125 questions and the allotted time is 150 minutes. You will be only eligible for admission if you have scored a minimum of 60% aggregate in PCM in your boards.

There will be questions from Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, English and Aptitude with difficulty levels from medium to high and no negative marking.
From the preparation point of view, English and Aptitude are easy and you can do it easily if you solve one-two mock papers. For aptitude focus on Profit and Loss, Direction, Arithmetic and Geometric Mean, Problems on ages, Divisibility, etc. and for English you can do it easily if your presence of mind is good.
For Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, the topics are almost similar to that of your boards (CBSE).The topics which you should do carefully include Relation and Function, Permutation and Combination, Calculus, Chemistry in everyday life, Co-ordination Compounds, ‘d’ and ‘f’ block, solutions, Electronic Devices, optics, electrostatics, gravitation from Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics respectively. First of all, solve the examples from RS Agarwal and RD Sharma, that will be enough I think. So, give mock tests (Arihant will be a good option) that will help you in time management as you only have 1 minute for each question roughly. In my opinion, start solving PCM questions then switch to Aptitude or English.
The paper is not that tough and if you prepare well, you can easily get good results. Your focus should be on solving as many questions as possible as there is no negative marking. You should at least mark all the questions if you see a shortage of time at last. The rank you secure will be playing a very crucial role at the time of admission, as if you score under 8000 you can select a branch of your choice but if you get more than 15000 rank then you might be forced to get any branch as per the norms if you are willing to get admission in SRM only.
Let me also make myself clear that Kattankulathur (Main campus) is the best in my opinion. So, if you are interested in getting admission in SRM focus on securing a good rank. Also, you can get admission easily if you have failed to register in SRMJEE but you have scored quite a good rank in JEE Mains.
