In order to solve more and more questions, you have to build up your speed and for this, you have to appear for the mock test. Try to give three mock tests on a daily basis consistently for one month just before the exam.
Vellore Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Exam (VITEEE) is of the most popular exam among the engineering aspirants. The number of students appearing for this exam is quite low as compared to the potential and it is because of it being private. But yet a large number of student appear for this and only a few thousands of students are able to make it. So how can you prepare for this exam so that you can get admission to your dream campus?
Explore popular B.Tech colleges for you
VIT has three campuses Vellore, Amravati and Bhopal (under construction, it’s classes are held in Hyderabad campus). Despite having three campuses, most of the students aim for the main campus i.e. Vellore. This campus is only for the top 5,000 students or those who get called for the first round of the counselling. So in order to get this campus you have to score great in this exam.
So to achieve good marks, first of all, you have to opt for the good study material. You can opt for RD Sharma, OP Tandon and Irodove books are one of the best for most of the competition. In this exam you will get at least 10% of the questions from these three books. There is a separate competitive part that contains the most important questions that have the maximum probability of coming in the exam. As being in last month of the preparation stage you must solve all of these questions in order to get good marks.
VITEEE mainly comprises 125 questions divided into five broad sections i.e. Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Aptitude and English and the time given is merely 150 minutes. So in order to score well, you need to take up the competitive advantage among others to get a good rank. For that first complete the Aptitude and English sections as it will hardly six minutes to solve 15 questions combining both the sections. After start with the subject in which you are confident enough to score most among the other subjects. Also if you get stuck in any of the questions then just leave that and move ahead in solving other questions as time is the most crucial thing during the exam even seconds are important in this exam.
In order to solve more and more questions, you have to build up your speed and for this you have to appear for the mock test. Try to give three mock tests on a daily basis consistently for one month just before the exam. Analyse the problems and mistakes properly and try to avoid the same faults in the next mock test. Solve past five years’ question paper thoroughly just before the week of the scheduled date of the exam. From here you will find some questions exactly the same. This will give you more time, as you have already solved those questions and you have to just mark the answer, to solve more questions and hence gives you the competitive advantage.

In VITEEE, VIT mainly focuses on class 12th syllabus than 11th standard syllabus. To score 300 to 400 marks in VIT exam, we advise to -
- Cover 12th syllabus first
- Solve PYQs and mock test

So basically, the syllabus for SRM, VITEEE, GITAM, and most IIIT entrance exams is not something completely different. All of them are mostly based on your Class 11 and 12 NCERT. If you're preparing for JEE Main, you're already covering a big part of it.
Let me break it down in a simple way.

No, slot booking once done cannot be changed under any circumstances. The VITEEE slot booking 2026 follows the first-come-first-serve rule, therefore candidates who book their exam slot fast will be allotted their desired test date and time.
