It is important for you to know that you may be strong in all the topics but having basic knowledge about your weak topics can help you tremendously.
Vellore Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Exam (VITEEE) is conducted by VIT for admission to Engineering courses at their different campuses. VIT is one of the most prestigious colleges for Engineering and hence, it is imperative for aspirants to prepare well for its entrance exam.
How to manage time?
Abraham Lincoln once said, “Give me six hours to chop down a tree and I will spend the first four sharpening the axe”. It is important for you to strengthen the topics you have learnt and then give mock tests. Do not spend your time giving three mock tests in a day; it will only make you mentally exhausting. Spend your time on the revision of concepts for the problems. Do not sit at home all the time studying books. Go out, take a walk, and talk with your friends and family. Giving yourself a distraction in between your study sessions will help you focus better on the subjects.

How to manage entrance with Class 12 preparation
It is important for you to prepare for both VITEEE and board exams well, as marks in Class 12 carries significant weightage during selection. Entrance exams focus on practise whereas Class 12 exams focus more on theoretical aspect. Hence, it is important for you to remember both theory and concepts well. Use time that is given for board exam preparation to prepare for the entrance exam. Do not compare the syllabus between the two, cover all the topics. Sometimes students tend to skip the topics, which are too easy or too difficult. Keep on revising the topics regularly. Regular revision of theory will help in board exam and revision of formulas will help in competitive exams.
What to do in last week?
This is the time for you to revise the topics in which you are confident. Do not learn any new concept now. Give online mock tests provided by your coaching centre or if you have not joined any, then join for any mock tests online and take them on a regular basis. Take one mock test each day or every alternate day right up to the penultimate day before the exam. Giving mock tests will warm you up for the actual exam and you will be in a flow. Analyse your mock tests exhaustively. Identify which type of questions you are getting stuck, which ones you are doing quickly and so forth. This type of assessment allows you to select the questions wisely during the actual exam.

In VITEEE, VIT mainly focuses on class 12th syllabus than 11th standard syllabus. To score 300 to 400 marks in VIT exam, we advise to -
- Cover 12th syllabus first
- Solve PYQs and mock test

So basically, the syllabus for SRM, VITEEE, GITAM, and most IIIT entrance exams is not something completely different. All of them are mostly based on your Class 11 and 12 NCERT. If you're preparing for JEE Main, you're already covering a big part of it.
Let me break it down in a simple way.
